Celsius Energy now projects EU nat gas storage hitting 92% by Nov 1st.

Quite impressive. Better than most people would have predicted.

EU trying to save energy now for the winter. Looks like it is working.

I like that the Russian invasion is paying off by forcing Europe to adopt some of what Trump and conservatives have been pushing on them for years.

A little suffering from their dependency on Russia is going to be good for them in the long run.

Russia will always be brutal, primitive, controlling, and evil.

LOL. At what cost? Germany was a lower middle class country before the Russian energy deals which are a mainstay of her economy right now. Without the benefit of cheap abundant energy they go down back to quarter a century ago, except there was no Chinese elephant in the room, meaning they’d go lower than that.

“Europe”. You mean specifically Germany. Poland has been cutting itself from Russian energy since 2014

There will be unrest.

But it is better to stop Putin economically rather than NATO fighting on the ground

Nope, by buying Norwegian and American gas.

Putin is destroying Russia. Dethrone Putin and erase his 22 years of decline for Russia.

Maybe the Germans will realize after this winter that being green isn’t the way to go. You have to get energy from somewhere dirty and you can’t always rely on the Russians to do it. They chose the wrong time to shut down their remaining nuclear plants.

Actually, I meant Europe in general and any weaknesses that any European country may have about Russia, military budgets, level of NATO commitment, level of military readiness, trade with Russia, dependency on Russia, whatever they are doing that ignores what Russia is.

I kind of rushed over the focus on this thread being only about energy because in my thinking Russia will never change and will always be evil and seeking evil goals of conquest and domination and negative influence, always wallowing in misery and wanting to spread it.
