“IF you recall, the RNC said if Trump declared, they’d stop paying his legal bills.” The backstory on that is the RNC was raising money using Trump's name without permission. They came to a compromise that if he let them use his name, they would pay his legal fees.
Bet they'd still keep using his name for fundraising.
