Challenger Joe Kent is now within striking distance of winning the primary in the Washington State primary election against Never-Trumper Jaime Herrera Beutler.
Joe Kent clawed his way back into the race after Tuesday’s vote and is only 257 votes down in the latest count.
According to pollster Richard Baris, Joe Kent is assured to be the winner. There are 35,000 votes left to count from election day. Kent is predicted to win a vast majority of those votes.
Saturday morning on The War Room, Joe Kent told Steve Bannon that Kevin McCarthy and the GOP establishment ran $4.5 million in dirty ads against him in the last two weeks of the race.
Joe Kent: $45.5 million just in the last 12 days. A couple million before that… McCarthy directly gave her at least gave her $150,000 during the entire course of the election. That’s just going directly from his PAC going into her PAC. And from all the other GOP establishment PACs probably another $2.5 million right there.
Steve Bannon: Were the GOP establishment PACs, were those the ones doing the really nasty personal attacks on you?
Joe Kent: Absolutely, And they’re already starting to crop up going against Anthony Sabatini in Florida, as well.

Kent can’t win. They will “count” until the results suit. The steal is real and every government official and acronym is complicit except few, the bought stupid with our money round out the field.

In past years, yes. This county has lots of Portland, Oregon people moving into our area to escape their dumpster fire. But it definitely could go either way. I don’t foresee with current economics a democrat winning. Conservatives here are really ticked off about Jaime.

Ron Desantis told me years ago (long story) that the Speaker is a largely political position, and that they spend the majority of their time fund raising for everyone else.
Hence, very few want the job.
But yes, it is the most powerful position in the House. So it’s a trade off.
I do think after what Trump has been through, he will emphatically let everyone know (including McCarthy) who is boss from now on!

And where did they find the necessary vote's for the win (after knowing just how many votes were needed) during the third count, where else but commie central, Seattle, otherwise known as the San-Fran-Freak-O of the north. Is this a great country, or what.

He does. But last time Jordan challenged Frank Luntz's roommate for Republican Leader, in Nov. 2018, Jordan lost 159-43. Until he has some chance of increasing his vote from less than 25%, to 50%+1, a leadership challenge will just cause bad blood, and decrease his chances in a future leadership election.

Kent is going to win. He is just 257 votes behind and closing as they count same day votes. There are 30k votes to count. Results on Monday. Whoever is the Rep candidate will win the general election in a Rep district.
There is no doubt Ryan was the worst of the worst. Who could forget him sending Trump a must sign budget that had provisions specifically forbidding one dime for any building materials that could be used for wall construction. This was after Ryan went on Hannity and looked right into the camera and swore the budget would fully fund the wall construction.
I think they base it on fundraising ability instead of leadership ability. If we actually followed the founding fathers blueprint we wouldn’t have this permanent political class. We would have citizens who were willing to give up a few years f their lives to act as servants of the people.
I would like to see congress only meeting in DC a few months and the rest of the time they need to live at home, daily facing their constituents and living under the laws they pass.

It is a solid Republican seat, but Hymie Herrera Butler voted for impeachement in a district that went 65-35 for Trump. She is by all accounts a nice lady, but is a shiny shoe now. Mitch and the gang own her lock stock and barrel.
