If you are outside the sunbelt, you can keep certain cars going indefinitely.

Cars last more than 10 years now, and only a tiny portion are still electric only. There will be gas stations. The problem might be what the gas costs, as the strategy has been revealed.

A longer play might be to get a diesel car/light truck, as long haul trucks definitely last a lot longer than 10 years and the EV replacements would not be cheap, and in some areas won't be practical.

I do think the envirosocialist watermelons are coming to the crunch. They are inflicting economic disaster on the West in the name of making sacrifices to Gaia. The voters were willing to shrug and not put up much of a fight about this until it touched their wallets - but now it is. Bigtime.
