••Spartz-Yermak:
On July 22, Spartz released a letter that is calling for resignation and removal of Andre Yermak, because he is effectively creating dictatorship in Ukraine.

Specifically, after the her first attack against him, he went after all the people who spoke to her when she was in Ukraine. She was in Ukraine about five to six times during this month; she met with a lot of people on the ground and definitely heard the voices of ordinary people, ordinary soldiers, lower ranking commanders who are actually fighting on the front line.

What happened is he went after those people over the past two two weeks, after this scandal started to die off in the West. That’s what really matters for for Yermak and for Zelenskyy. She was informed by the people she spoke with they were being attacked effectively by Yeermak. The the only prominent attack was against a person whose last name is Corbin.

Corbin is a head of Ukrainian Militia Defenses in Dnieper region. The Dnieper region it’s a very important region of Ukraine; it is the only industrial heart that’s left in Ukraine; all the others were wiped out. Dnieper is one of the largest industrial places in Ukraine that still remains relatively intact. Zaporizhiza remains also but it is is about like 30 kilometers away from the front line,

Corbin was running the Ukrainian militia in that region. What happened he went outside of Ukraine (don’t know where). When he returned to Ukraine, both his passport and his citizenship were revoked - this can only be done by the decree of the president. You can connect the dots of how that decree could kind of come into existence,

That would be one part of the problem, but there is a second part of this problem. The decree is by itself is completely illegal because per Ukrainian Constitution: where it’s straightforwardly written that you cannot revoke citizenship from Ukrainian citizen unless he or she voluntarily relinquishes it; he did not obviously.

Corbin did not did not surrender Ukrainian citizenship, by any means. This whole decree was illegal and all of the actions were illegal. He was not allowed to come back to Ukraine, so this scandal is making new rounds. The scandal was mentioned also in the German media, as well: this is like a dictatorship and definitely unconstitutional, not democratic.

She’s is now taking a second round against him to finish off what she started in the first round where she did not really succeeded in in her attack. We’re pretty sure in the coming week there will be more fire bombs from all of this.

•• Iran Attack UAVs for Russia:
The Russian President visited Iran. They are becoming allies. At this point, there is like a another alliance is being formed: Russia, Iran and China. There might be more countries eventually, but at this point it’s more or less clear these three countries are effectively forming an alliance.

As a result of that visit, Russia received attack UAVs called Shahid 129, equivalent to Turkish Bayraktar. (Edit: except that the Bayraktar actually works - there are some doubts about this knock off of an Israeli Hermes 450 UAV.)

The most important part of it this is some of the characteristics of it specification so the most important is the flying duration is 24 hours and the range is 1700 kilometers. (Edit: ceiling is 24,000 feet.)

That makes it extremely dangerous because what this is probably aimed at is a HIMARS systems. We don’t know how many how many units of this Russia got probably 20-30-40.

(Edit: Note the Iranians only produced 3 a year since 2012. Janes reports only 50 have been produced at most. It has an aluminum superstructure, making it visible to radar. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shahed_129)

That makes it possible to cover 24/7 entire front line in in Ukraine and basically hunt down HIMARS systems with the help of these UAVs. That’s probably what they were bought for, because Russia does not have a strategic answer to HIMARS system. So far the Russians were essentially paralyzed and didn’t know what to do. Now they they will try this Shahid 129 as a solution on to HIMARS systems.

The way tactically this HIMARS system worked is they would launch all of the rockets in about let’s say 60 seconds, plus minus and the trucks would just simply quickly leave. So it’s nearly impossible to catch and and destroy them. You don’t have enough time for regular artillery or even rocket to react.

However, with this UAV constantly up in the air, it creates a full-time permanent cover of the area: as soon as they see HIMARS systems, they can launch rocket and destroy it.

The problem on Ukrainian side is they do not have great anti-air defense system - it’s on the weak side. That allows the Russians to use this UAVs to some extent successfully. They are not going to be widely successful probably, but they’re going to create a credible threat for HIMARS systems. This remains to be seen how it all gonna play out, but it’s definitely something that Russia will try to use.

••HIMARS:
They again attacked the Russian infrastructure north of Melitopol. There is a railroad juncture here that goes south to north and then west to east. The importance of this juncture and railroad is that this is the main feeding line for Kherson bridgehead. It goes from Kherson to a little bit north of Melitopol and then goes into Russia.

The other important railroad branch that goes the same direction is coming from Crimea and then goes to Kherson as well. Those are two feeders from railroad perspective for the Kherson bridgehead. However, the one that goes north of Melitopol is more important because this goes straight back to Russia to main supply areas for ammunition and fuel .

That’s much more important because it’s much more straight direct line to Russia to the main supply zones; you can still bring everything through Crimea ,except you have to drive around quite a bit. This slow and it takes much more time to go through Crimea.

The problem with all of this attacks is you just destroyed the railroad tracks. However, it’s all repairable pretty quickly, so probably in 24 hours all of this damage will be gone. For that reason, this attacks against the railroad infrastructure, specifically railroad tracks are not very they they don’t they don’t have last; they don’t have a important strategic effect.

••Attacks On the Dam Near Nova Kakhovka:
What was attacked is a roadway over the channel for ships to go up and down the river. That was the target of the attack. Russian side is reacting pretty quickly even though actually work is probably Ukrainians

However, it’s not a perfect repair, they’re just trying to hastily fix it and covered up the damage to make it possible for the equipment to be able to supply Russian troops or even withdraw Russians troops

The point is, the Russian command is reacting pretty quick and they’re trying to repair everything in a pretty short order, meaning what you really need to do is actually completely destroy the bridges and that’s your only solution on to this situation.

———————————————————————————————————————
Summary: No changes on the frontline.
Russian command is getting Iranian attacks UAVs Shahed-129 which can create credible threat for HIMARS systems.

Key areas:
- Izyum bridgehead: no changes
- North Donbass area: no changes.
Very strong attack at power plant near Svitlodarsk, and at Novoluganske, Semygirya.

- Donetsk West: no changes
- Kherson bridgehead: no changes.
Indirect evidence supports idea that Ukrainian troops are attempting attack, commander of the 28th Brigade was killed in action.

1. Kharkiv: No changes.

2. Izyum bridgehead. No changes.

3. North Donbass: No changes.
••Orcs somewhat active here.
••Orcs trying to take power plant in a strong push. Not know if they took it yet.

4. West of Donetsk: Avdiyivka and Maryinka. No changes.
••HIMARS hit some areas in Russia rear. UA claims they hit a C&C post. Futile attempt.

5. Vugledar: No changes.

6. Velyka Novosilka - Gulyapole stretch of frontline. No changes.

7. Kherson bridgehead: No changes.
••UA troops are trying something in a SE direction at their tiny Davydiv Brid bridgehead. The loss of the Maj. 28th commander is not a good sign.
