The war in Ukraine is a tragic situation for both countries. But, everyone dies. No one gets out of this life alive.I suspect that you'd be less philosophical and sanguine on the topic of "mortality" if your own life were on the line.
It's cheap to adopt the supposedly moral high ground of "Well, everyone dies some day. Let's just fold our arms and do nothing while the brutal aggressor tramples on International Law and *ss-rapes the innocent victim" while you sit in your comfortable BarkaLounger and sip martinis.
