Larry Elder Is Considering a Presidential Run in 2024
Red State ^ | 07/12/2022 | Levon Satamian

Former California gubernatorial candidate and radio host Larry Elder says he is considering a 2024 Presidential run. This comes after he was the frontrunner in the Newsom recall race. Elder finished first among recall candidates and second behind Newsom in 2021.

For those who may not know, Elder received 3,563,867 during the recall, equivalent to 48.5 percent of the vote among recall candidates. Some might argue that the recall would have been successful had Elder stayed out of the race. Polls showed the recall in a tie until Elder entered the race. It seemed like Elder thought, due to name recognition, he should announce his run for Governor on Sean Hannity’s Fox News prime-time show, which would ensure a successful recall.

However, from the moment Elder entered the race, the media, blue check marks on Twitter, and the California Democratic party started a smear campaign. Gavin Newsom painted the recall as a “Republican recall” and “Republican takeover” while also bringing Joe Biden to the state to say that Elder is another Donald Trump and that voters should reject him. The smearing went so far that the “activist” Los Angeles Times wrote a piece with the headline “Larry Elder is the Black face of White Supremacy.” As well as calling him a “threat to Black Californians.”

It’s important to note that there were liberal Californians at Elder’s rallies, and Democrats voted against Newsom in the recall as well, so this was not a “Republican recall” — there were individuals from all parties who voted to recall Newsom. Due to the constant smear campaign, fear-mongering, and lies they told and hammered into people, the recall ultimately failed.

It will be an uphill battle for Elder if he decides to run for President because of the mainstream media’s propaganda that will be fed to voters. Elder told FOXLA’s Elex Michaelson that he is considering a presidential run back in January:

— Jack Posovic 🇺🇸 (@JackPosobiec) January 7, 2022

“Who knows what the future will bring? … If the phone rings, I’m going to answer it … I enjoy campaigning far more than I thought I would … I’m not closing the door on what might happen.”

Recently, Elder was asked again by Michaelson whether he would consider a Presidential run. Elder said, “I’m looking at it.” But Elder is open to running for a different public office position as well.

Currently, Elder has a PAC called Elder For America, where he is focused on expanding school choice, recalling progressive prosecutors, such as Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon and now-recalled San Francsico DA Chesa Boudin, as well as electing a GOP Congress.

Could @larryelder run for President?

As DA George Gascon is on the brink of being recalled in Los Angeles; nationally, a red wave is likely coming in November, and Elder is doing his part in making sure that becomes a reality for the GOP.

RE: He needs to win a lower office first.

Yes. But he’s not going to win in any of the major cities in California. That state is a lost cause.

He better move to a more conservative area of that state. He might have a chance ( Forget San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Jose, Sacramento or even San Diego ).

He’s a lawyer, go for attorney general in ca, or district attorney in a favorable county, develop a legal presence, and go after the real criminals, then maybe becomes attorney general of USA if he gets lots done and stays clean. Possible go to guv’ner of ca if commiefornia becomes more conservative. Could also run for u.s. Congress in favorable district....but not ready for president. Too bad he started so late.
Personally, I would like him to run for county DA, or u.s. Congress, or for cal AG.

Elder was distracted from the reasons people wanted the recall in the first place. Instead of hammering on why we needed to recall nuisance (masks lockdowns and keeping kids home from school) he decided to win the candidate choice. The recall failed because Elder and the other candidates were running for the office and nuisance ran against being recalled. It was easy for him to scare his base about the evil conservatives that let him walk on the Covid restrictions.

He didn’t even put up a fight against Newsom’s recall cheat! No way!

“Personally, I would like him to run for county DA, or u.s. Congress, or for cal AG.”

Conservatives can do it. As an example, Seattle DA is a Republican IN 3 DECADES to win in an ultra blue city, and won because of the high crime in the city. She told the truth on her campaign and easily won. Anything is possible if you truly believe.

Dunno. If Elder runs as a Republican, he could do what Jesse Jackson did for the Dems in the 80s and get blacks registered to vote Republican. After losing the primary to Trump, he would endorse him and hope to bring his constituents with him. I love the idea of a black guy hammering the Dems for everything they haven't done for minorities and getting air time for it.

No.
Having relatives in CA I followed that race.
Under any other circumstance I would have expected the sort of truly despicable tricks and lies used against him to have resulted in criminal charges.
But it’s not a hate crime or slander if the victim is conservative.

After he lost the race I had to stop listening to him, he made so many excuses he wore-OUT his poor-me victim card.
I don’t know if he ever stopped whining, but I do know he lost my support as he could not get over it and made it the seeming sole focus of his shows.
If he thinks he is ready to be POTUS he may need to see a shrink.

Newsom ran against Trump, even pushing BS that the whole recall was about Trump voters refusing to accept the election. He won by 22%. What the Rs ran on didn’t matter because...CA.
