The corrupted beggar Z was elected to seek peace with Russia, he did not, he violated the Minsk Agreements that were signed and started shelling and bombing the ethnic Russian Donbass provinces- he ignited a civil war in 2015.
I hope the current calls for Zelensky’s ouster gain ( they are), and he is ousted. The Ukie population is suffering immensely by his refusal to negotiate. Sending what is left of his army into Vlads meat grinder does not have his nation’s interest in mind- he is now drafting 18 year old woman, a sign of desperation.

So the Guardian has pretty flexible definitions of what a coup is. Yeltsin mounted a coup against Gorbachev, ending the Soviet Union. Was that a bad thing? Ultimately, against a dictator looking to entrench himself in power, you either mount a coup or a violent revolution. The idea that a change of government in Ukraine is a pretext to conquer and annex it would be like saying the coup in Grenada was a good reason for the US to conquer and annex it. Uncle Sam restored democracy and left. Russia is annexing land right and left.
