From what I know, the people who got “freed” in 2014 are living in hellish, most corrupt society anywhere!
Now this lady is obviously looking forward for that life!

The more brutal the regime, the more people thank it!
People thank Kim Jon Un the most!

I know bunch of Ukrainians. I talk to them a lot.
1. Life in Ukraine was bad until Zelensky came.
2. It was getting a lot better and everybody was finally looking forward for the future. Until Putin invaded.
3. Now, everybody just hates Putin. In free setting, people of Ukraine has opinion about Putin, which is just below that of Stalin, Hitler and Devil combined!

Fighting a war is bad on everybody, but Putin has no chance!
The hatred he started (Ukraine’s were generally ambivalent towards Russians before), cannot be undone!

“I know bunch of Ukrainians. I talk to them a lot.”

What are their names and how do we contact them?

If you choose not to disclose, then your post is no different than me posting the same, but saying that they love being liberated by Russia, as seen on recent videos too.

In this video from Sky News you can see the mixed feelings of the pro-separatist Russians in Lysychansk. But they aren't too happy at being shelled by the Russians either. Take a look at the woman and her son talking about how the Russian shelling killed her husband at around the 6 minute mark.

Neither she nor her young son look happy to have been "liberated" by the Russians.

Which again makes me think these are bogus claims made under duress in order to survive the Russian occupation.

Of course they are. And there are a few of the elderly people who lived under the tyranny of the Soviet Union and actually liked it. For whatever reason there are people who like tyranny, no freedom, and the experience of living under communism. I had a cab driver once who extolled the virtues of living under Ceaușescu. He thought all of the problems here in the USA could be solved if only we had communism.

But you are right. Most of these people will say whatever they think the people who are giving them food want to hear as they are nearing starvation.

You are right. Take a look at the video I posted where a woman describes how the Russian shelling killed her husband.

LOL, BobL who sure posts like someone getting a paycheck in rubles wants the names of some Ukrainians. Hey BobL, why don't you post your address so we can let the Ukrainians get in contact with you?

I didn’t make the claim.

“hat one poor old woman was totally terrified of SOMETHING ..”

She may have been, But it wasn’t shelling.

The Ukrainians were not shelling towns under their control. Thus, no matter what it was the woman was afraid of - if anything - it wasn’t shelling by Ukrainians. Thus, you are wrong in any case if you suggest otherwise.

Invading a territory, bombing their cities into rubble, driving 99.9% of the civilian population out of the area, and then trotting out a handful of remaining civilians to say they support Russia is not an acceptable justification for anything.

Where did the civilian population flee too? The vast majority went to Western Ukraine or Europe. Very few went to Russia.

Even if the remnant that is left in those areas actually support Russia, it’s not a justification for what has been done to Ukraine, or a reason to be okay with shifting the territory to Russia.

Don’t worry, Russia will rebuild the lands they took and re-establish mines, and other industries in Putin’s “New Russia” The Black Sea will be their Florida with theme parks and places to go to the beach. Lots of Jobs too. Money will flow in and keep the new Citizens of Russia happy and peaceful. The rest of Ukraine will be rebuilt as well by the west. It is sad that so many had to die in terrible fighting—it all could have been avoided.
