The plight of female basketball star Brittney Griner relating to her arrest on drug charges in Russia earlier this year is even more uncertain than ever. Yesterday in a court near Moscow, the legal prosecution of Ms. Griner finally began, with her trial kicking off in an abbreviated session. Prosecutors had intended to call on four witnesses, but only two showed up to give testimony.
Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom, but footage of Griner entering the proceedings showed her sporting a white and black Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. Media reports after the court had adjourned explained that during her time in the courtroom, Griner was kept inside of a metal jail where she had cookies and water available as refreshments.

If true, she’s an idiot. If not, she might’ve been set up by someone.
Lots of professional athletes will go play in foreign countries during their off seasons or if they are in a state of decline in their sport of choice, because they are often still better than most athletes of other countries.
My money is on idiot.

What you would call an oxymoron
As per Advocate.com, Griner received much larger pay for UMMC Ekaterinburg than her WNBA salary. For her first year in the privately-backed Russian basketball team, Griner reportedly made just shy of $1 million. Meanwhile, the WNBA compensation was around $250,000 at max.
Do the crime, pay the time. Too bad little girl, you thought no one would touch you. Guess again. You now want the USA to bail your ass out yet you kneel for BS in America. Hoping for two years minimum. In china you would be shot and your family sent the bill for the bullet.
She carried in hash oil prolly for personal use. Broke their laws but 10 years is a bit stiff IMO. If she was dealing it then 10 years might fit the violation. I say one or two years and then deport her permanently. Not that I’m a fan of this unpatriotic kneeler and ungrateful Wokester privileged to be a professional womens BB player from the USA.
