I consider the US Constitution as humanly perfect as any governing document on this planet can be. Written by God-inspired men (who had human flaws yet still managed to create the foundation that allowed this country’s evolution and greatness to happen.
The problem with it, if one could call it that, is that it requires honest, ethical peoples to follow, nurture and enforce it.
With respect to the article’s Vision 2, its flaw is that it falls with in the need for “honest and ethical” people to ......category.
IOW? Vision 1.....short and sweet.... WORDS MEAN THINGS.
Vision 2? Go find another country and write your own Constitution, then...

The Constitution gives the federal government the ability to tax everything at 100%.
It gives Congress the power to allow Biden to send every AR-15 copycat owner off to the Ukraine to fight the Russians.
It apparently doesn’t prevent Congress from snatching our money to buy votes by paying the living expenses of tens of millions of voters.

An impeachment trial is political.
Instead, each Supreme Court member might be allowed to pick one person each for the trial, with the Chief Justice allowed to also select the trial judge.

There was no clause to end slavery, only of the ability to import slaves.
