18 minute video. Posted for reference and research to counter the Russian narrative and propoganda that "Ukraine shelled Donbas for eight years" that completely ignores Russian atrocities during this time.
Comments and questions are welcome. Dirsuptors and trolls are expected.
Your first sentence negates any reasonable discussion.
I don’t care if they did or not.
The Ukraine’s problems are not America’s problem.
Ping. This might interest you.
Well that explains why your views on Ukraine are so totally divorced from reality, you believe Bellingcat, an absolute legend for cranking out misinformation and BS.
Wikipedia loves him tho

Finally! At long last. I’ve grown weary of seeing a continuous barrage of information solely from the Russian side. Finally we have information from the Ukrainian side for badly needed balance. The media has clearly been almost exclusively only carrying stories that make the Russians look good and the Ukrainians look like monsters.
/Yes, it’s SARCASM.

Note, they mention the "Right Sector" (a group of Ukraine nationalist / neo-nazi paramilitaries) who insisted on clearing out all Russian speakers (otherwise called "genocide").
This very same "Right Sector's" leaders Dmytro Yarosh and Andriy Tarasenko, met and appeared publicly with John McCain, Chris Murphy and Victoria Nuland in Kiev in December 2013, right after the Maidan Coup started.
What a coincidence, eh?
God bless Russia.
Anyonme have videos of the war in Mexico with 250,000 dead the last decade or so? We should maybe build a wall.

Thank you for this post, very informative.
Thank you for this post, very informative.
So, turns out they have a website with public domain reports now available in English, and both the 2019 and 2020 editions confirm that the Kremlin (and all its apologists all over the world) are LYING.
When even the people who are cited as the source of the allegations absolutely say very bluntly it's a complete load of bollocks, that's the time to admit, if you ever bought that bullcrap in February, you were punked by Putin's Propaganda Mill.
Here's the official report, from the DPR. Well, actually, numerous annual reports. So it's not even as if you can claim there was a typo somewhere. They really did the research.
https://eng.ombudsman-dnr.ru/annual-reports/
Preamble:
The Human Rights Ombudsman Office in the Donetsk People’s Republic presented its fourth Annual Report on the activities of the Human Rights Ombudsman during 2020.
It has been prepared pursuant to paragraph 1, Article 19 of the Law of the Donetsk People’s Republic of 3 April 2015, No. 30-INS on the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Donetsk People’s Republic. ...
It was also designed to highlight the pressing problems in human rights, to promote their observance and protection.
The presented results of Ombudsman’s activities were made possible through close cooperation with public authorities, administrations of cities and regions, civil society organizations, and dialogue with the judiciary.
From page 20-21:
It is worth noting that the signing of peace agreements helped to reduce the intensity of hostilities. Thus, the number of deaths among the residents of the Donetsk People's Republic decreased by 9 times in 2017 compared to 2014, in 2019 - almost by 17 time, in 2020 - by 50 times. These dynamics reflect the measures within the package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements, as well as ceasefire agreements. At the same time, a decrease in casualties among the civilian population was facilitated by the unlimited truce announced in Donbass on 21 July 2019.
Since 1 January 202, as a result of the armed conflict in the territory of the Donestk People's Republic, 44 people have been killed.
And from the conclusion:
Reducing losses 50-Fold compared to 2014 indicates the possibility of returning to a peaceful life. This positive trend became possible, first of all, thanks to the work of the Contact Group for the settlement of the conflict in
Donbass. In particular, the entry into force on July 27 of this year of additional measures for an open-ended ceasefire showed that a lot can be achieved with mutual desire.
Now, the 2021 report (not on this page yet) does suggest a higher number for 2021. There are draft diagrams suggesting the TOTAL number of deaths in that 12 month period was 71...
Your source, Bellingcat, is a (western associated) propaganda outlet itself lol.
just BS and propaganda

The Uke collapse is going more rapidly now.

According to the first reports from the front lines, Russian-led forces took control of the town of Volcheyarovka on June 26. The town is the strategically important area in the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk metropolitan region.
Russian military positions in the town allow to establish fire control over the Lisichansk-Seversk road which is the last one used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for military supply to their positions.
The group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has lost the possibility of withdrawing the remaining forces from Lisichansk. Russian-allied forces have established military positions on the heights in the town and now the Seversk-Lisichansk highway is under full fire control of the artillery of the Russian Federation.
According to the reports from the spot, Russian control was established after fierce clashes. Judging by the footage from the spot, the AFU suffered heavy losses in the area.
.
Today was more huge advances. the L-chansk oil refinery is partly captured and surrounded on three sides. Russians are now fighting west of the refinery in two villages along the Siversk/L-chansk Road....
