2) idiots listen to politicians, more idiots are created

3) entitled idiots feel grievancs because they do not get what they feel entitled to (without working for it) and more politicians arise from that group who encourage feelings of entitlement and grievances.

Our situation reminds me of the run-up to the Spanish Civil War. In Spain in the 1930s, there was a growing divide between urban and rural areas, and between Christians (mostly Catholics) and secularists. The elected left-wing government had begun actively persecuting Catholics, including confiscations of property, closing of religious schools, censorship, and the tolerance of street violence against people deemed enemies of the government, particularly the clergy.

We haven't gotten that far yet, but we've seen an increasing effort to marginalize and even criminalize Christians who hold certain beliefs, attacks on church property, threats to remove accreditation of religious schools, efforts to deny Christians entry into key professions (law, medicine, counseling, and education) and widespread censorship and gaslighting. (The most recent example of the latter: at a time when we've seen dozens of attacks on Catholic churches and pregnancy crisis centers, Democrats and media have launched a narrative about a non-existent wave of Republican-led violence.)

I’m with you on being at stage 4.

The crisis will include conditions which will prevent midterm elections this November. They know they will lose by an enormous amount and are not going to allow anything to take away their power and control.

There are certain people who possess a bloodlust for power. They are willing to do ANYTHING to get and maintain it.

The best and simplest formula is to create a problem and offer a solution to the problem, but perpetuate the problem rather than fixing it. There is NEVER the intention to actually fix the problems but merely use them to acquire and hold onto power.
