“No way this happened. I’m wondering how MTG survived the corrupt system there. Maybe they are afraid to cheat her.”

Vernon Jones has a long history of involvement in corrupt and racially discriminatory practices while he was the CEO in DeKalb County. Voters in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District know this history, and decisively rejected Jones. Why Trump endorsed this miscreant is puzzling.

“Georgia has an open primary meaning anyone can vote in the primary election no matter the party affiliation. So all registered Democrats were instructed by the DNC to vote for the Republican incumbent to keep Trump candidates out.”

1. The Democrat crossover vote in the runoff election between Collins and Jones was much too small to influence the outcome. Jones got trounced. Crossover votes in the Secretary of State primary most likely did put Brad Raffensperger over the 50% threshold necessary to avoid a runoff election.

2. Mike Collins, Jones’ opponent, was not the incumbent. This is an open seat, vacated by Jody Hice, who decided to run for Secretary of State and lost in the primary to Raffensperger. Why Hice gave up a safe Congressional seat to challenge Raffensperger is a mystery.

“GA isn’t really “Southern”. It’s filled with transplants, Hispanics, etc. The Old South is long gone.”

The GA 10 Congressional District is solidly conservative. Mike Collins, who soundly defeated Vernon Jones in the primary runoff, is a solid conservative. The problem with Vernon Jones was ... well ... Vernon Jones. He has a long history as a DeKalb County Democrat who engaged in corrupt and racially discriminatory policies while CEO.

“Vernon Jones doesn’t like white people. He can’t keep his hands off of women, and he wastes taxpayer money.”

Bingo!

“Another open primary loss thanks to dems voting in rep primary.”

Collind trounced Jones by a 2-1 margin. There is no way the Democrat crossover vote was large enough to influence the outcome. It most likely did cause Raffensperger to exceed the 50% threshold to avoid a runoff in the Secretary of State primary.

“Purdue got creamed, Jones got creamed and Raffensberger got more votes than MTG. Sure.”

Purdue was a terrible candidate. I have more charisma than he does. Jones had a long history of corruption, racial discrimination, and incompetence as CEO of DeKalb County. Why Trump endorsed Jones is a mystery to me. His opponent, Mike Collins, is a solid conservative.

You may have confused Doug Collins with Mike Collins. Yes, Doug Collins would have made an excellent senator and, yes, Mike Collins will make an excellent congressman.

“How much RAT crossover voting was there?”

Not enough to close the massive gap between Collins and Jones. There was most likely enough crossover to prevent Raffensperger from facing a runoff.

Just finished working the runoff election. The answer is open primary and possibly Kemp or Raffensperger making a deal for not prosecuting election fraud. Wouldn’t it make sense that in exchange for not investigating election fraud democrats would agree to cross over and vote for the two candidates that would ensure they’re ability to cheat in the future. This way democrats win in two ways. One they don’t get prosecuted. Two, there is a good chance many republicans won’t hold their nose and vote for the sell outs and the gap tooth wonder wins. Stop open primaries.

It stinks because the SoS is a closeted leftist with a Democrat CoS and simp Governor looking the other way helping him.

That’s a different Collins. Talking about the 10th Congressional District.
