Slovakia Donates 5 Helicopters, Grad Rockets To Ukraine
Slovakia has donated one Mi-2 and four Mi-17 helicopters and thousands of Grad rockets to Ukraine, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad said on his Facebook account on Thursday.

••Ukraine volunteer hospital statistics show 99% of wounded due to artillery and mortar fire, while only 1% due to small arms fire. Another data point showing this is an artillery war. In this way, this conflict is very similar to WWI and WWII, and is totally different from all wars that followed, with the possible exception of the Korean War.
••The training the ZSU troops get is, in a way, irrelevant as it is focused on using small arms and preparing for low intensity conflict. How to survive artillery fire not taught to ZSU troops nor is survival in an intense conflict.
••Russia gets $87bbl for exported oil. This is up from $73bbl last month. The whole oil embargo is backfiring, placing the entire burden back on the West. (Edit: this does play into the US war on fossil fuels, EV push, the Green New Deal, and on the deliberate destruction of the US economy in general.)
Russia exports crude to India, India refines the crude into gas and diesel, then exports those produces to Europe and the US - essentially killing those country’s own refineries and chemical complexes. Other countries cannot compete against the cheap Russian oil and labor prices of India.

Russia is cutting NG by 1/3rd now and 1/3rd later. All of Germany heavily depends on Russian NG. (Edit: cutting NG to Europe is essentially blackmail. Russia is winning the war by using Europe’s dependence of its NG against it.)
This adds to the lowering support by European governments of the war and of Ukraine government. Meeting on 06/15/22 of military donors and supporters of Ukraine gave only 18 more M-777s - in a prior meeting, they gave 90-108 M-777s.
Europe is just giving lip service to Ukraine support - message to Ukraine leadership: find peace and end war. Prime Ministers of Germany, France and Italy coming to Ukraine 06/16/22 to force Zel to settle on Russian terms so things go back to normal - which they will not; this is a desperation move because there is no Plan B.
Split between US, UK, Canada, Poland and Germany, France, Italy who are pushing for peace at any cost with Russia. Ukraine society very much against capitulation because they are heavily invested in it with their personal lives.
••Historical Perspective
Why the push to capitulate will backfire and cause more problems.
Commonwealth of Poland and Lithuania (CPL) in 18th Century. Government was dysfunctional, not modernizing. Three main competitors were the Russian, Austrian, and Prussian Empires which bordered the CPL on three sides.
They partitioned the CPL in 1772, each one toking a chunk of it. But that did not make the CPL government change its ways and modernize. Seeing the CPL was so weak, the 3 again partitioned the CPL in 1793, each grabbing a big chunk of the remainder. But that still did not make the CPL change its ways. As a result, in 1795 the CPL ceased to exist.
Russia does not have enough resources to grab all of Ukraine, so they grab more chunks. First it was Crimea, now its Luhansk, then the whole country. Any truce or peace will not stop Russia, whose aim is to recreate the Russian Empire. Once Russia has taken all it wants of the Ukraine, it will enable them to begin to rebuild the Russian Empire. In maybe 5 years, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakstan with Russia will face Europe. And Poland, Finland and Baltic States are the next objectives.
In the Russian politic leadership, there are two sides: one side wants to recreate the Soviet Union and the other, lead by Putin, the Russian Empire in both territory and economically. The Empire was based on capitalism. The Russian political landscape is dominated by the pro-Russian Empire group.
Poland and Ukraine are insulators from Germany. When insulator removed historically has led to clashes - European peace-at-any-price outlook leads to this outcome.
••HIMARS
Ukraine will get 12 M-142s from US, 4 M-270s from UK, and from Germany 4 M-270s - but is questionable if they will give them.

Germany did a similar thing with Poland. In 1999, the Russians blew apartment building to use that to begin Chechen War.

You missed a few, but thank you for making so many of the points that I repeat over and over on these moronic Rah, Rah Ukraine threads. All the "romantic" war news posted here every day by Speedy and others is basically irrelevant. The Russians have changed tactics.
The virtue signaling "sanctions" are helping Russia and hurting the West. As you well know... I am no fan of Putin, or any other communist dictator, but anyone who believes that any plan cooked up by the same people who designed the cut and run from Afghanistan is destined to fail in a spectacular way. So, thanks for helping make my points!
On one of the other threads which purported to show a Russian troop carrier blown up I asked why the drone didn't go in to get meaningful video for damage assessment. I was told it was because the drone was too valuable to risk losing it just to see if the target was actually destroyed.
I am glad that you found so much entertainment value from this likely faked scene. Who knows there is a very, very slight chance that it is authentic? Well probably not, but I really could not care less. We have no business or national interests involved... certainly nothing to justify the huge amount that this crap is costing us not even counting the $40 Billion which is likely just lining the pockets of our enemies.
