That’s HCQ....a zinc ionophore...as far as I know it makes no difference if zinc is used in conjunction or not. IVM works as an antiviral by itself.

Having said that the best way to go is IVM AND HCQ with zinc....worked like a charm for me and I only had the paste variety...

In almost all treatment of disease, early treatment is better. This is particularly true in the use of hydroxychloroquine (a zinc ionophre) that blocks the initial burst of viral replication within cells. Ivermectin works to prevent viral entry into cells and also acts as an anti-inflamatory (as does hydroxychloroquine) to ameliorate the damage done by the virus. I take 20 MG ivermectin weekly based on body weight and quercetin (another zinc ionophore) and zinc, vitamins A. B, C, E , and K daily as prophylatics. So far, at ninety years old, I've only had an occasional sniffles.
