Yeah, I’ve always been a fan of rally racing and Grand Prix but racing in a circle isn’t my thing.

Having said that, I was on the track one time in Bristol. Was amazed at how small the track was and how steep the banking was.

You ain’t seen banking until you’ve been on the track at Daytona. It’s so steep in the corners that if the asphalt is wet you can’t even climb up the grade without crawling on your hands and knees.

There is a race track within a half mile of our home, a third of a mile oval with high banks like the one you described. It's been there since the early 1960s, I think, but I only visited it to attend a semi-pro football game in the 1960s...(Franklin Miners 6, Jersey Sharks 0) until there was a support your police rally a couple of years ago. Before the race season opened this spring, I heard the activity on the track and stopped in out of curiosity. Watched them do some time trials for qualifying.
