Russian grain union wants to switch export payments to rubles

The Russian Union of Grain Exporters (Rusgrain) has turned to the Bank of Russia to get the necessary tools to start selling domestic produce for rubles.

Market participants are facing serious restrictions on logistics, insurance and payment for grain, according to the Rusgrain Chairman Eduard Zernin, who said that the union had to turn to the central bank to avoid supplies being disruped.

Since March 10, Russia has exported 28.1 million tons of grain, including 23 million tons of wheat, which is about 30% lower compared to the same period in 2021, the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

Turkey, Egypt, Iran and Saudi Arabia are currently the main importers of Russian grain. Russia and Turkey have reportedly had success in ruble settlements. The scheme is expected to significantly facilitate trade with Iran.

On Monday, the chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin called for switching to ruble settlements for exports in other Russian commodities, such as fertilisers, seed oil, crude, coal, metals, wood and grains.

KEYWORDS:
About 300 billion dollars was stolen by the USA and Europe from Russian foreign exchange accounts, part of an attempt to suddenly shatter the Russian economy and cause great upheaval and instability there.

One result is that it is totally impractical for Russia to accept payments in Dollars or Euros in these foreign exchange accounts, as the likelihood is that they will be giving away products for free as they are not actually receiving any payment at all.

So not only will there be Rubles for Gas and Oil, there also will be Rubles for fertilizers, wheat, seed oil, coal, metals, etc..

With millions of possibly starved people and refugees in the coming months, working a way around sanctions to sell Wheat and fertilizer is a big deal for these people in Africa and the Middle East.

Russia is the #1 exporter of both wheat and fertilizer in the world.

Severodonetsk, the Donbas city that Russia is currently in the process of driving the Ukrainian army from, has a huge fertilizer factory. From reviewing the city battle progress maps, that plant takes up a large chunk of Severodonetsk‘s land area… it’s huge!

This is what it was all about from the beginning. Take control of Ukraine’s resources so they can better monopolize export markets.

End all of the sanctions and ensure the free flow of fuel, fertilizer, and food.

None of this could have happened if not for a 2014 coup and then there was an exit ramp in the form of Minsk agreements. Russia obviously didn’t want it.

I am not sure if Russia is going to walk away from it without major concessions from Western side. It is winning bigly, both militarily and economically as we speak.

The United States has had a well known policy to attempt to destabilize and weaken Russia and create “regime change” for over a decade. This war is just a continuation of that policy.

Overextending and Unbalancing Russia
Assessing the Impact of Cost-Imposing Options

Rand Report 2019

This brief summarizes a report that comprehensively examines nonviolent, cost-imposing options that the United States and its allies could pursue across economic, political, and military areas to stress—overextend and unbalance—Russia’s economy and armed forces and the regime’s political standing at home and abroad. Some of the options examined are clearly more promising than others, but any would need to be evaluated in terms of the overall U.S. strategy for dealing with Russia, which neither the report nor this brief has attempted to do.

Providing lethal aid to Ukraine would exploit Russia’s greatest point of external vulnerability. But any increase in U.S. military arms and advice to Ukraine would need to be carefully calibrated to increase the costs to Russia of sustaining its existing commitment without provoking a much wider conflict in which Russia, by reason of proximity, would have significant advantages.

Well I don’t know what Russia is going to want; but our Deep State has sure managed to tick Medvedev off.

Readovka https://t.me/s/readovkanews/

“Western grandparents are simply disgusting”: Medvedev recalled that Western sanctions are directed not so much against Russia as against the Russian people In

recent months, the collective West has been striving with all its might to destroy the multinational Russian society. And here the most perverted methods are already being used, which previously Western political strategists were modest and stuck to. This was pointed out by the deputy head of the Security Council of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev.

“They hate us all. These decisions are based on hatred for Russia — for Russians, for all its inhabitants. Hatred for our culture,” the politician said in his Telegram channel.

According to Medvedev, whatever“American and European grandparents didn’t mutter that they are punishing the authorities of the Russian Federation with sanctions, and not ordinary citizens whom they allegedly love, this is nonsense of pure water . ”

“This hatred is disgusting and irrational. But that doesn’t mean we have to put up with it. You just need to draw all the necessary conclusions for the future. Remember this attitude towards us. And do not forgive those who hate us. Never ,” the deputy head of the Security Council urged.

Earlier, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, during a meeting of the heads of EU member states, said that the further imposition of sanctions against Russia by Brussels is becoming more and more difficult , and the restrictions are affecting the countries of Europe more and more every day.
