The title almost sounds like it could be poor satire from the Babylon Bee.
I dunno. Maybe it’s time to go back to our militia roots. When a community problem of this magnitude appears, call out the local militia and let them handle it.
Leave the cops in the background to bother civilians, pose for pictures in their tactical gear, and stuff like that.

Expect for the occasional troll, Free Republic is made up of traditional conservatives, and nothing else. We all grew up respecting and admiring the police.
We haven’t changed. The police have changed. And I say that not from reading mainstream propaganda, but from my own personal observations.
It’s a damn shame on so many levels. There are, of course, still many fine police officers. But yeah, something has changed.
