All I have to say is Mitch McConnell is slowly getting his GOP toadies in line to vote with the Democrats to ban assault weapons. These Republican are true cucks. Chris Jacobs has shown his true submissive colors.

In place of assault weapons, maybe they’ll let us have surrender weapons, or retreat weapons. How about “Please don’t kill me” weapons?

That’s why these endorsements are worthless. Do you own homework, folks!
(Having said that, what would the alternative have been?)

And the NRA won’t pull their endorsement, either.

You can ask Cuomo...there is a big difference between banning and compliance.
Certainly illegal doesn’t mean unavailable.

Chris Jacobs
Is he running unopposed on the Republican side?

Did anyone here truly believe that the GOP would stand firm for freedom & liberty when things got rough?

It’s all but a done deal, its just a matter if they consider everything semi automatic to be an “assault weapon” or not and if they are going to try and take existing ones.

He’s a douche.
And they’re called semi-automatic rifles, not the leftist media’s term “assualt weapons.”

No surprise that this peckerhead is voting this way. This district, which is probably one of the more conservative districts in NY, has been poorly represented over the past couple of decades - this dope, Chris Collins, Chris Lee (he of the shirtless selfie), Kathy Hochul (the current, awful D governor in NY). Might be time to find someone not named Chris to represent the district.

WTF is an “assault rifle” according to their definition?

Jacobs is a hypocritical turkey.

What are the chances (realistically, not doom and gloom or unfounded optimism) that any significant gun control actually passes? My sense is, very low, and that this ain’t 1994 no more, and a number of states would defy any federal ban or confiscation, to one degree or another — look at MO wrangling with the DOJ right now.
I don’t like that McConnell told Coryn to start negotiating. But he might just be creating something he can point to and say “hey look, we tried, but the Dems wouldn’t consider any reasonable suggestions.”
The language war is heating up significantly. The left is really running with the phrasing that “we” can “remove” these “weapons of war” from “our” streets. They’re trying to create the overarching sense that guns are the government’s to take or “buy back” and other people’s legally purchased and owned property is not in fact their property, but subject to the whims of congress.

You’re forgetting something, they’re now called Weapons of War!
