Funny, you should mention that. I was once arrested because my weeds had grown too high. Long story, but I was issued a citation, and through a misunderstanding, I thought it pertained to a property I owned, not my residence. I take the blame. But they came and arrested me for non compliance.

The irony is, across the street from where I lived, there is a nature preserve, and the weeds there, well, they grow up free and unemcumbered. Not 200' away.

Yeah, time for weeds and speed traps, but when real crime shows its ugly head, its all 'don't want to be put at risk'.

Your crime was to be a law-abiding taxpayer. They know you will pay the bills and fines. The arrest was probably to meet some bureaucratic quota. They knew you would come quietly.

The drug house down the street now. They will be left alone. Except when the cops come to get their cut.
