Mike Pence says he is open to running against President Trump in 2024.
The NY TImes reported:
After four years of service bordering on subservience, the increasingly emboldened Mr. Pence is seeking to reintroduce himself to Republican voters ahead of a potential presidential bid by setting himself apart from what many in the G.O.P. see as the worst impulses of Mr. Trump. He’s among a small group in his party considering a run in 2024 no matter what Mr. Trump decides.
Mr. Pence first used high-profile speeches to criticize the former president’s push to overturn the 2020 election results, stating flatly that Mr. Trump was “wrong” in his assertion that Mr. Pence could have blocked the Electoral College ratification on Jan. 6, 2021. Mr. Pence then unsubtly visited the Charlottesville, Va., memorial to Heather Heyer, who was killed in the 2017 white supremacist riot there that Mr. Trump sought to rationalize by faulting “both sides.”
Now, on Monday outside Atlanta, Mr. Pence is taking his boldest and most unambiguous step toward confronting his former political patron. On the eve of Georgia’s primary, the former vice president will stump with Gov. Brian Kemp, perhaps the top target of Mr. Trump’s 2022 vengeance campaign against Republicans who didn’t bow to his election lies.

Which is of course correct. Hoft and the TGP were of course happily spreading false information that the Vice President had magic secret powers never before seen. Nothing in the law allows it and nothing in the Constitution grants that kind of authority to the Vice President. But people continue to live in a fantasy world where the VP has that kind of supernatural powers. Reality is still what it is, however.
And it is hardly "Breaking" that Pence is open to running in 2024 and laying the groundwork...more silly hyperbole from TGP and the Hofts - why on earth does this ridiculous publication continue to get posted?

I don’t fault him for acknowledging the reality of the powers of the office of VP - but he is not an inspiring or appropriate candidate for 2024. And if Trump runs, it is pointless for anyone else to - it would be time to just get about our business and win.

Just like I refused to vote for Mitt in 2012, I’ll never vote for Pence. If he’s the nominee, I’m voting third party, just like I did in 1972, 1992 and 2012.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.
Pence will definitely have a chance just as rino McCormick may win in Pennsylvania. All The GOP would have to do is run a bunch of conservative-talking(Barnette styled) candidates in the primary and many GOP voters will fall for it hook, line, and sinker. They KNOW how dumb we are. They wouldn’t be there scamming us year after year if we weren’t.
