I see China as a threat (I don’t see Russia as a threat). China has a strong economy and they could wreak havoc in shipping lanes. They could seize resources in Asia and give us a hard time. China is no joke.

But, let’s get real. D-Day was an invasion over the English Channel. I think if the weather is good, you can see France from England across the Channel. The distance is short. And still the crossing was a rough go. Eisenhower had a prepared speech in his pocket, taking full blame for the disastrous defeat at Normandy, if he needed it. But he didn’t. The Allies pulled it off.

But crossing the Pacific?? Against the US Navy?? To land in the continental US?? We have 390 million guns!!

It’s not going to be attempted. Let’s get real.

But the article says it’s all concealed in cargo ships.

(I wonder if an armata of a thousand cargo ships from China would sound an alarm?)

Those are the facts, seems to be. To make it more real it’s should be recognized while those firearms are well utilized in self/home defense their effect on matters of state is less than negligible.

Not to split hairs but there are far more than 390 million guns in the US

Those numbers people throw around are based on records kept the last few decades and somehow forget that before then there were lots of guns

I’ve seen a credible estimate that there are between 850-950 million firearms in the US and that there are probably about 50 million lost or stayed away and forgotten

You have to look at China+Russia together working as a unit. It’s not Russia by itself. It’s not China by itself. It is
China+Russia.

Here’s the chess: Suck the USA into Ukraine. Drain all the anti-tank missiles. Drain all the quick-ship mobile resources that can move fast to get-there and stop-it. Biden has shipped all our fast-response gear to Ukraine. We only have heavy-and-slow in the stockpile now.

China is not involved in the Ukraine-Russia-NATO conflict. They will stay not-involved. Russia “loses”. They are pushed back over the border. Now they must “save face”.
Suddenly, boom boom, tactical nukes. Biden responds
with two boom boom of his own. Russia says ‘this is
existential threat to Russian state’ and launches full
attack on NATO+USA. Thousands of warheads come down.
USA+NATO has hundredds of targets hit, and all European
theater forces wiped out. Russia begins to roll its
remaining 20,000+ tanks into eastern Europe.

Now NATO+USA is nearly out of comission. NOW China
starts on the west coast, surprise. USA torn between
two theatres, Europe and California, opposite sides of
the world.

Wrecked Lefty California “welcomes” the invaders who
arrive with blankets and hot soup because “Biden isn’t
doing anything for you, but we care. We are socialists.
Let’s build socialized health care and pre-school together.”

With every military base and every city in the USA hit,
it becomes our pistols and assault rifles v. 100 million
Chinese troops landing tens of thousands per day.

The lesson my friend is: drones drones drones. Everyone
who is a 2nd ammendment guy: learn drones.
And learn to mount your gear on it. Learn how to take
out an enemy tank with a drone. Learn how to take out
enemy personnell carriers with a drone. 2nd ammendment
needs to be mounted to fly. Not just carried by the human.
Learn how to take out an enemy troop transport ship
with a drone. That’s the big one, because they will
be incredibly vulnerable while a big boat is loaded with
tens of thousands of troops out in the ocean with nothing
to protect it.

Your SUV - figure out how to drone-i-fy it. Your boat.
Figure out how to drone-i-fy it. Your ATV.

And learn how to make drones out of PVC pipe and a
lawnmower engine.

The key to winning in a scenario like that will be to
hit them early - when they think we are too bewildered
to do so. They NEED that dazed-and-confused period
to get a foothold on the beach-head. The sooner we get
there and put a stop to it, the more chance we have of
sinking them when they are still out in the water.

We must be prepared for fast response if this happens.
Take no time to be dazed and confused!

I hear ya, but isn’t that a bit of Normalcy Bias, the idea that what-is prevents what might be? What if Biden and his cronies in the military allow the ships to traverse the Pacific or land in Mexico first? No one thought he would leave Afghanistan they way he did.
