Leaked audio that appears to have originated from a meeting of China’s top war generals reveals elaborate plans for a land invasion in the near future, waged by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and augmented with cyber warfare, orbital space weapons and the activation of CCP civilians currently embedded in corporations and governments around the world.
This is the bombshell that has emerged from the leaked audio out of China, for which a full English translation and transcript has now been published by whistleblower Jennifer Zeng at this link. (The English translation is somewhat rough but still very useful.)

I think you might be right. China is strong, but its strength is...fragile.
Granted the total throw explosive power is in the megaton range; but the individual warheads aren’t.
The Pearl-Harbor style nuke-attack on USN would happen first.
The shipping would be normal shipping - just surprise-filled with ChiCom soldiers. The first you learn of it would be: the nukes struck most USN Pacific ships, and the door swung open on the shipping container at 5000 locations up and down the west coast. It will be a complete surprise attack, not a telegraphed attack-flotilla.
After we attack in your scenario, China simply announces it was an exercise. No invasion. Now what? We just attacked a nation who was only conducting an exercise.

Yeah, I suppose US military planners never discussed invading the enemy because it just happened to not be recorded and “leaked”...
And they are at their peak-strength now. Looking to future, their demographic bomb will erode their power. They have their 200M excess young-males right now. They have a weakened USA with COVID+Biden. They know they will get a Republican in ‘24. They know USN is as small as its ever going to be in the China-Era. They know USAF has smallest number of 5th gen it will ever have right now. They know USAF and USN air are oldest and creakiest they are going to be in the ChinaEra. They know our fast-reaction gear has been shipped to Ukraine and has 3 year lead time. They know we are over run with illegals, criminals, and drugs like never before, and that will all start to get better in ‘24.
They are at their relative strongest. We are at our relative weakest. And those dynamics will shift in our favor with every passing F-35 that rolls off the line.
They know if they take Taiwan, they get global chip supremacy for 5 to 10 years. But if they wait, the fabs in continental USA will come on line, and USA will take it.
And they know that domestically they must unwind a debt bomb of 1/3 of their GDP in the real estate ponzi schemes. They will be facing riotous mobs who lost their entire life savings.
China would be very unpleasantly surprised when they find out the California they know is a very small sliver along the coast. The rest of California is blood red.
Not sure if you have netflix. (I get it free with my cell phone plan) I just watched a movie called “Dragon Day.” I am surprised netflix streamed it. It is a b movie but is an interesting and enjoyable flick about how China could defeat the US.

An operation of that size is never an exercise. An exercise is conducted with fractional elements of an entire force.
In the Cold War we conducted rather large exercises. Your position still has the US attacking a nation not at war with US.
Their merchant fleet can move 100 million men??

Yeah, but as I mentioned in another post, that strength is fragile. China knows that if they attack us the Three Gorges Dam is history, and with it goes 400 million Chinese, not to mention industry and agricultural land.
And the Chinese armada would still have to cross the Pacific Ocean.

Do you think we’d not respond? Our Boomers would be launching. Our big boys in the silos of the Midwest would be launching. Our Air Force bombers and strike aircraft would be dropping and launching.
