Clearly. We had four years without a new war for the first time in years and the powers that be showed their hands: they would do literally anything to get rid of Trump. I suspect if he had overcome their election shenanigans then he’d have been targeted for more permanent means. The DC swamp is not just corrupt, it’s filled with very evil people.
Gore probably would have used 9/11 to score partisan political points. He's a Democrat--that's what they do.
Truman could be called a war criminal for using the atomic bomb against Japan. If he had not, probably a lot more people would have died (since it's unlikely Japan would have surrendered without an invasion) but some of those killed at Hiroshima and Nagasaki in the bombs would have lived. So he is to blame for their deaths.
Ultimately, we can't know what the consequences would have been if Saddam Hussein was left in power, whether it would have been worse or not as bad as what happened when Bush decided to remove him from power by invading Iraq.
