"Bro, who are you favoring, if you don't mind me asking?"

Thanks for asking.
I'm a loyal Trumper and would go with his pick, Dr. Oz.
Some of the others might seem more conservative, or even more loyal to Trump, but in the end, PA is a quirky state and electability is as important as anything else.

Oddly enough though, last minute change of plans and so I won't be home Tuesday to vote -- will be in Missouri!
So Pennsylvanians will just have to do the right thing without me! ;-)

For years Republicans have been ignoring the advantages of crossover votes from Democrats. By nominating a Black Woman the party would gain a large chunk of voters it would not otherwise have gotten.

The additional benefit of this is that once people have broken through the barrier of voting "Republican", they will likely be more inclined to do so again in the future.

I think Kathy would do surprisingly well in the General, and I think a whole lot of people who normally vote Democrat would cross over just to support her.

But I respect your position on Oz.

The electability argument is a non starter...

DJT wasn’t electable in 2016..

That’s the argument that folks fall back on when they know their candidate is poor.. and OZ and McCormick are poor...

and this idea that they are electable is absolute garbage.

Oz and McCormick have spent a total of 60 Million combined to both be sitting around 20% the entire election cycle... and that’s among purely republican voters... If that doesn’t tell you how AWEFUL they both are nothing will.

This foolish notion that you can plop Oz or McCormick down in the T, in rural and small town PA and get them to excite those voters, is foolish. Especially against Fetterman.

Only way OZ or MCCormick beat Fetterman is if the D brand is so damaged by Biden and the Economy that a ham sandwich would win as long as it has an R by its name.

Nothing, NOTHING about either of those two is going to excite and motivate the blue collar voters in this state... I have not met a single GOP voter in person who honestly is motivated and excited to vote for Oz, not one, and every single independent I speak to laughs outloud at the very idea that Oz could beat Fetterman.

The establishment are working under the false assumption that the GOP base will turn out solidly for any candidate equally, and that Oz’s celebrity will win enough suburban low information housewife voters that they can pull off a win....

This is a false premise. Oz turns off a large amount of the GOP base, and the disenfranchised voters who showed up in 16 and 20 to vote for Trump are not going to for Oz or McCormick.

I’ve said this since long before Barnette was being mentioned, if either one of them (oz or mccormick) is the nominee don’t be surprised in the least if the Dems take this seat.
