Just tuned in the KTLA. Loks bad.
looks bad
That’s quite a few homes burning.
Are those the expensive homes on the high ground looking down over Laguna Beach?
Looks like it started at the foot of a long steep slope with homes at the creast, and that’s always a bad situation.
Yes.
I have a son in aliso Viejo.
The economist Mohamed El Arian lives in one of those mansions overlooking the beach.
Are those the expensive homes on the high ground looking down over Laguna Beach?
Yes, overlooks Laguna Beach.
These homes overlook Aliso and Woods Canyon Wilderness Park. Very rugged area despite being surrounded by homes.
Yes. I visit over there a couple of times a year. Looks like about 5-6 miles from where my son lives.
Where’s hunter?
i’d almost think brush would be outlawed/illegal by now...
maybe if the ins cos told them no ins without a firebreak around yer house
“multiple homes burning.” Not good. High priced area. Sweet beach.

There is a significant firebreak between the homes and the wilderness area. You can check it on google maps by using Aliso Summit Trail as key words. And there was the standard 10 and 20 foot gap between the homes.
The problem is when brush fires hit in windy conditions the embers land on the roofs and no homes are safe regardless of distance.
thx, lot to be said for a tile roof...
Ugh! After sitting through the SIXTH commercial ad on the CBS news link I finally gave up and clicked out.
