Dr. Oz Opponent Absolutely Eviscerates Him at Pennsylvania Senate Primary Debate: Kathy Barnette stole the show
Red State ^ | 05/05/2022 | Bonchie

Posted on 05/05/2022 8:53:48 PM PDT by SeekAndFind

When Donald Trump decided to endorse long-time liberal and TV talking head Dr. Mehmet Oz in the Republican Senate primary in Pennsylvania, I wasn’t shy about voicing my displeasure. Neither were a lot of other conservatives, including many who are very pro-Trump.

Exactly.

This Oz thing is yet another boneheaded move. Is there anyone around Trump who can clear the office, shut the door, and tell him “Sir, you are about to make a really stupid mistake”? https://t.co/yGxMXtHtXf

— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) April 10, 2022

But while most of the responses I got to my original write-up agreed that endorsing Oz was a terrible pick, the concern seemed to be that the alternative was David McCormick, a wealthy, cookie-cutter establishment Republican in the mold of Kelly Loeffler.

Well, I’ve got good news, especially if you live in Pennsylvania and get to vote in the primary. There is another option out there that just may check all the right boxes so you don’t have to vote for a left-winger like Oz nor an establishment shill like McCormick. Her name is Kathy Barnette, and she stole the show at Wednesday night’s primary debate, eviscerating Oz while promoting a very conservative platform.

Here was an exchange on abortion that is going viral.

Dr. Oz is such a fraud. Nobody who is actually pro-life & believes life begins at conception responds to a gruesome heartfelt story like Kathy’s by bragging about a minister endorsing his campaign. Gross.

— Liz Wheeler (@Liz_Wheeler) May 5, 2022

In just the last few months, Oz has done a complete turnaround on abortion, now claiming to be strongly pro-life after once staunchly defending Roe v. Wade. But unlike Trump, who gradually came to his current pro-life stance over the course of several years, there’s no reason to believe Oz is doing anything but being politically expedient here. Remember, this is the same guy who spouted pro-BLM rhetoric, and once lectured his audience for not accepting the “transitioning” of children.

Barnette’s story of being born after her mother was raped is a powerful one, and it shows the difference between those who truly believe in upholding the sanctity of life and those who just want to get elected so they can make friends with Chuck Schumer.

Yet, while I found that exchange very compelling, there was another one that I think will make a lot of conservatives very happy, especially those with populist leanings.

LOL! @Kathy4Truth calls out two candidates on stage for World Economic Forum ties & calls them globalists 🍿😄 pic.twitter.com/dEoK3QgVlS

— An0maly (@LegendaryEnergy) May 5, 2022

Barnette is really speaking my language here. If you aren’t aware of what the World Economic Forum is, it’s a globalist grift where ultra-wealthy people, business leaders, and far-left politicians get together to essentially plot their global domination. Some of the most insane things imaginable have been said at their various conferences, including the promotion of the idea that people will “own nothing.” The WEF also strongly supported COVID lockdowns as a way to supposedly better society.

This is my favorite line from World Economic Forum propaganda.

In short, if you are against global governance and corporate tyranny, the WEF should be at the top of your disapproval list. Oz has long-standing ties to the organization, as does McCormick. It was exceptionally smart for Barnette to show up ready to hit them on those connections.

Again, why in the world did Trump endorse Oz in the first place? The former president’s entire thing is fighting globalism, and he endorses a guy who was part of the WEF? It’s mind-blowing.

But I digress, if you are wondering where Barnette currently stands in the race, the latest poll only has her down five points to Oz and less than that to McCormick. She’s not just some fringe candidate with no chance. Barnette has been surging lately, and there’s every reason to believe she can be competitive going into the primary election. In other words, there is no excuse for any conservative, including Trump supporters, to vote for Oz. There is another path, and it’d be foolish not to take it.

I watched the entire debate. If I had a vote in PA it would definitely be for Kathy B. She is solid conservative and VERY good on her feet. She’s the real deal folks.

Fetterman is a strong candidate for the Democrats in PA. Kathy Barnett will not be able to take him on & is still unknown despite losing in 2018. The majority is important & this seat is key. Oz is MAGA and can get Democrats & Independents to flip red with his name recognition. That’s why Trump said it’s time to stop playing games.

DJT should cite recent revelations that Dr. Oz voted in a Turkish election in 2018, as a reason to rescind his foolish endorsement.

She may have stolen the show,...but she did not steal the nomination.

I just did not like the ones who used the Dim playbook by accusing others of wrongdoing. She was one of them.

There has to be a positive way that one gets their point across without that means of doing it.

Oz, of whom I am not a particular fan, tried to bring them all together by saying ALL republicans should have one goal...to change the course of the country under Joe.

I did like that since Pubbies don’t usually “stick together.”

I hate having to voice this, because I know it will not be popular, but is a poignant, beautiful story of one’s background supposed to propel you into a job?...Any job, but a serious and badly needed good senator’s job?

Barnett was wonderful in recounting her history, but I think a “tough as nails” senator is needed in this case.

Toomey was SUCH A WIMP that someone with a little strength of purpose is needed in PA.

Noone reads them

I can understand why.
And learn that there is no such word as "noone". It is "no one".
Peter Noone notwithstanding.

Obviously I must auto correct my phone to please you? This is exactly why if someone wants information they can read my history. I followed old school FR rules and provided links, many. All you got is insults and spelling corrections. Ya’ll can’t respond because over 90 percent of you are nothing more than devotee’s, followers, adherents of people on FR. You do none of your own research. I know your insults and taunting are meant to inflame but I have never given any credence to the opinion of sheep. Enjoy the bliss of your ignorance.

Aiming too high.

Fortunately for her, the slimebags in the Senate have lowered the bar so far she can just step over it.

I agree with you. We’re not electing someone because they had a tough childhood and they’re the product of rape. Barnett grew up on pig farm in Alabama. She came to Pennsylvania with her husband who had a job here so she hasn’t lived in the state very long. How does any of that qualify her for the Senate?

And what’s her background for the job? Her last attempt at elective office ended in defeat with her losing by 20 points. She claimed, conveniently, that it was a stolen election. Really? Fetterman will wipe her out. Her life story will only take her so far.

In the Grove City debate she rudely interrupted Carla Sands’ closing statement by loudly laughing. She kept it up and Van Sustern didn’t tell her to shut up. As a result, Carla Sands effectively was shut down because she couldn’t be heard over Barnett’s braying. That really turned me off for Barnett. I will not vote for her.

Oz is repulsive. Ditto for the slimy McCormick. Bartos had hardly any face time in the Grove City debate. Carla Sands was given even less time. Van Sustern ran a lousy debate. It was all Oz and McCormick attacking each other with Van Sustern giving each repeated chances to go at each other. It was disgusting.

Fetterman is going win this thing, unfortunately, and Pennsylvania will end up with two Democrat senators.

Oh, please, NO.

I hope voters come to their senses and I know Oz is not “pretty,” but he seems to be able to argue and hopefully fight for what you need.

That’s what I was thinking. Someone strong, a little likable, and major tough with the ability to express his thoughts. And he insists his thoughts are all America First.

You make some good points though.
