The law aims to 'affirm the right to menstrual dignity for transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and two-spirit students.'
Every public school in Oregon — including elementary institutions — will soon be required to provide tampons and other feminine products in boys' bathrooms with "instructions on how to use" them.
The controversial requirement is in accordance with the state's new Menstrual Dignity Act, signed into law by Democratic Gov. Kate Brown last year, which mandates that menstrual products be made available in "every student bathroom."
Following the bill's passage, the Oregon Department of Education developed and distributed a "Medical Dignity for Students" toolkit to aid local districts and set forth a phased plan for districts to meet the law's standards and requirements.
Effective immediately, each school is required to have menstrual product dispensers in at least two bathrooms. But by June 2023, dispensers are required in every student bathroom, KGW-TV reported. The department emphasized that schools must "consider all-gender access to the products."
Sasha Grenier, a sexual health specialist with the department, said, "This new program will help students participate actively in classes and school activities by alleviating some of the economic strain and experiences of shame that are often barriers for menstruating people accessing their education."

They are more likely to remove the urinals in the boys room.
A lot of boys will get really creative with the this. The school officials might be shocked when they have to refill the machines in the boys restrooms more often than in the girls in some schools.

I guess most remaining are one grade up or down.
I figure most guys are a year or so behind the females?…
School’s admin is gonna get REAL tired of unclogging toilets in the Boys Restroom....cause YOU KNOW that’s were those tampons are going.

Most middle schools in Oregon are 7th and 8th only. Some are 7-9th grade. Elementary is almost always 1-6. I think it may be because boys are a year or two behind girls and it’s just a bad idea to have 8th grade boys bullying 6th grade boys and hitting on the budding 12 year old girls.
14 year old boys are the worst human beings on the planet. I am always shocked at what nice young men they are only two years later.
13 year old girls are far worse than any male ever.
Guys at 14 will punch someone, girls will try to ruin a girl’s life.
Children entering puberty are notoriously unstable emotionally because of the hormonal overload in a brain that has underdeveloped reason/logic. They are quite dangerous.
I was speaking about 14 year old boys as a mother of many daughters. Boys that age simply do not know how to relate to girls, but they are highly aggressive and travel in pods like dolphins. They have a tendency to be crude and cruel and are particularly nasty when rejected.
I won’t/can’t argue that point.

Years ago, when I awoke from nose surgery, I had a tampon in each nostril. A creative repurposing of an existing product.
But I promise the surgery did not take place in the boys restroom.
Well tampons can be use to start fires. In lots of survival kits.
I just can’t wait for the arrests.
AND clean elections. Oregon’s elections are filthy dirty.
And in charge. Every blue state is controlled the same way with the big city crazies. However I do live in Southern Oregon rural area and there are plenty of people still wearing masks, not a majority but significant minority.
How many boys raised with these circumstances will want to join the army,navy or air force? Run to a safe spot kids and insert your tampon in doubt then cry for a while.
