Picked up a very old herbal and found any number of herbal brews to "bring on menses". Which is what they used to call an induced abortion back then.
“Oh, there are any bunch of plants that will cause an abortion as well.”
The problem is, many of them, in the wrong dosage, will kill the mother as well. Though maybe that is by design.
