Ted Cruz is playing a very cynical game here. Make no mistake, this is about positioning himself for 2024. He figures the race is a tossup. Trump picked Vance, so Cruz latches onto the other horse. If Mandel wins, Cruz spreads the word that he’s the new kingmaker, blah blah blah. I voted for Cruz in the ‘16 primary, but I’ve had it with self-serving gimmicks. Go, Trump! Go, Vance!
Mandel is the preferable candidate over Vance.
