You might be interested in the address Putin gave to Russians before the operation. Two videos, dubbed; one may be easier to listen to than others. Link to transcript as well. He goes into detail and history.

Look, I appreciate you trying to explain this to me.

Sorry, but I’m not interested.

Putin had no excuse to do what he did. The carnage of war
transpired when he gave the order to invade the Ukraine.

Too many dead people, destruction, refugees...

You guys are going to have a hard time explaining why it’s
reasoned for him to invade Finland and Sweden next.

If he does that it’s going to make mute everything you’ve
dug up here. Those governments are not corrupt.

If he doesn’t do it there, it is also going to be damning
to what he has done here.

If it’s not reasoned for him to invade Sweden and Finland,
it’s not reasoned for him to do it here.

You guys have done everything you could to find dirt on
Zelenskyy. How about Putin? The guy is supposed to
stand down at some point. Has he? Are there fair elections
in Russia? He’s held power for twenty years now. There’s
no end in sight.

I do not see Putin and company as a lily white example of
good clean government, particularly good enough to pass
judgement on other governments.
