Britain's partygate controversy is spelling more trouble for UK prime minister Boris Johnson. For the longest time Johnson kept denying even attending the 10 Downing street gatherings during the 2020 lockdown, it turns out one of the celebrations held during the lockdown was in fact led by Boris Johnson himself.

We have traitors openly taking bribes from communist Russia and China and everywhere else and we cannot get rid of them yet Boris pours a drink and he may lose his job....

Churchill drank 42,000 bottles of champagne.

Biographer William Manchester wrote, “There is always some alcohol in his bloodstream and it reaches its peak late in the evening after he has had two or three Scotches, several glasses of Champagne, at least two brandies, and a highball.”

In 1935 he spent £515 on alcohol from his wine merchant, Raymond Payne. This was the equivalent, Clarke says, to ‘three times the earnings of a male manual worker, or enough to employ half-a-dozen female domestic servants at Chartwell.’

It was 6% of his disposable income, and the equivalent of about £500 a week in today’s money. At this time, he earned £360 a year as an MP, which only covered 70% of his annual wine merchant’s bill. His alcohol bill was now double what it had been before the first war.

“Just as the Covid lies are no longer left versus right, this is no longer left versus right as he peddled Covid fear, punishment, lockdowns, and lies.”

Yeah he did and he, who had it early, should have known better.

He has now, though, dropped the draconian Covid mandates and I don’t think any other UK politician would have.

I’m pointing out:

1. He is firmly in office. They can’t get him out, he can only resign.
2. Any realistically possible replacement would be worse than him.

Good point...

Maybe I should have referenced “internal” problems in moslem countries?

Iran is a major “external” problem issue that is extremely worrisome...
As far as their potential “internal” problems, the more they kill each other, the better...
Not our business...
This also applies to Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, etc. where moslems thrive on slaughtering each other...

Peter Hitchens gets a kick out of this because the real issue is why should have the COVID lockdown rules been imposed in the first place.

True enough but 60-40 chance the next person will be worse.
