So green and grey eyes came from ...? Red eyes we know how that happens
“6,000-10,000 years ago”
Around the start of farming, cities, civilization.
I and all of my children were born with blue eyes. Mine stayed for about a year according to my mother and turned to what they are now - light brown.
My daughter kept her blue eyes for nearly two years but hers are now olive green.
What is the trigger that causes this change?
Yeah, well, we All Came from the same ancestors
Adam/Eve
Mr Noah/Mrs Noah...
some people get full of shiite and their eyes turn brown...
Maybe but I do have a claim on your estate.
I used to work disability cases, and I saw at least two people over a 20-year period whose medical records showed that they had one blue eye and one brown eye.
Shush. If you expect them to explain why a single recessive gene carrier could spread the trait to so much of humanity you are in for many hours of mumbo-jumbo created on the fly.
My Dad has deep blue eyes and my Mom dark brown. I have deep blue, one brother has light blue, another brother has hazel, another brother is dark brown and a sister who has green eyes.
My wife has dark brown eyes. My oldest sons are a slate grey, his little brother dark brown and my daughter has deep blue eyes with red hair.
Heck of a Punnett square to work out for eye colors!
All babies are born with blue eyes and eventually accumulate what ever level of melanin they are genetically due.
My Mom and all us kids had brown eyes. My Dad had blue eyes. For my brown-eyed daughter, only one of her kids has brown eyes, the granddaughter - the boys have blue (two) and green (two).
What about someone that has eye color other than brown or blue
What about someone that has eye color other than brown or blue
That seems to be true. The youngest grandson was born with blue eyes, but by the time he was one, they had turned green.
It’s interesting that they say blue eyes have no beneficial effect. Not true at all. Most women will tell you that blue eyes have a huge effect on who they want to mate with. Think if a cave women sees a blue eyed man for the first time. He gets lucky for sure. When I was a teenager I got some very weird responses from girls who loved staring at my eyes. And my children also got lots of attention.
I think you are right.
What baffles me is the sudden or gradual change over time to brown. And why do only Caucasians have vast eye color diversity and no other race?
Well, we can all sleep better tonight...
No more lying awake wondering about it...
Well don’t it make my brown eyes blue!
