Leonid and Friends, a favorite of many FReepets just released a cover of Tower of Power So Very Hard to Go.
Serge Tyagnaradno, their outstanding lead singer and citizen of Ukraine has left the band.
He’s been replaced by Michael Puntov who performs this song with heat skill. Check leonidandf.band for upcoming tour dates.
Ping for later. Tower Of Power tunes are great.
Very nice.
That’s a loss. He’s a very good singer.
Been watching/listening to them for years. First time I’ve seen them mentioned here? Good post!
Not sure if this link will work or not but it’s me on lead with a guy from Chicago that stopped in to an open jam at the Red Dog saloon in Virginia City NV a month or so ago doing a Waylon Jennings song I never heard. You may to have to click on the speaker bottom right. You never know at an open jam/mike night:

Worked fine for me. Nice sound.
It was a hoot. Random guy. Did a couple songs with him. Core band and whoever shows up. I believe he has a band in Chicago.
The cover, BTW, is fantastic. The new lead singer does a great job and the whole tune, a classic to begin with, just soars. I like the one female violinist who, between her musical parts, is obviously just loving this tune!
Hope they do some early BS&T from the first album, with Al Cooper.
Tower of Power - “So Very Hard To Go” - haven’t heard that song in years but just remembering it takes me back to being a kid growing up in the Bay Area. Great local band.
I didn’t start it. Someone posted Question 67 and 68 a few years ago and I got hooked
I’ve posted a few, too.
Thanks for the post! I’m a new fan because of you.
Outstanding!
Sorry about your new obsession.
