Looks like Google/YouTube agitprop.

Besides, everyone knows that Disney’s theme parks are the leader.

My entire adult life, I have been a technology advocate.

I was one of the first with a CD player, computer, iPod, etc. Interestingly, I was one of the last to get any kind of mobile phone, much less a smart phone.

As I have grown older, I have become alarmed at the uses of technology. I have always understood that there is a duality to everything, and my optimistic nature did not inform me that the negative side might overpower the positive side.

But I believe the negative side HAS in some respects, overpowered the positive side.

Surveillance is one of the biggest ones. But the cultural ones are more destructive at a fundamental level.

I know there is nothing special about me. I thank God I didn't have video games as a kid. I would have been an addict. But I believe the effects of this technology on children from toddler up to full adulthood is extremely destructive.

And this "TikTok" thing is a perfect example of why I think so. How can any normal person NOT be alarmed at this passage? (NOTE: I only accept what is outlined in this article as reality and don't question it, because it comports completely with what I have seen with my own eyes)

"...Psychiatrists worldwide—from the South Atlantic island of St Helena, to New Caledonia in the South Pacific, to almost anywhere on the planet where kids have access to the Internet—began reporting a surge of teenage girls self-diagnosing with Tourette syndrome. Many of these girls are shouting out “beans!” at unpredictable intervals. Psychiatrists in England call these girls “Evies” because their behavior resembles that of Evie Meg Field, whose TikTok videos have earned her more than 14 million followers and more than 500 million likes. In a characteristic video, Evie shouts out “beans” uncontrollably. In an earlier era, the sudden appearance of myriad teenage girls shouting out “beans” might have been called mass hysteria. Today, the preferred term is “social media induced illness..."

And the thing that makes this so frighteningly alarming is that these people have no idea they are being steered, shaped, or influenced by things like this.

I agree wholeheartedly.

I would add that the addition of social media tied to the hip is only half of the problem. IMHO, the other half of the problem is what it replaced: relationship with Jesus and us defining ourselves as worthy of Jesus' sacrifice and living holy lives to honor how He sees us.

TikTok may be stupid but it is mesmerizing to some kids. I am not surprised that it is addictive but did not know that, even worse, it customizes to the viewer. I wonder how many sneaky harmful minutes are interspersed into the harmless stuff.

With the rise of Leftism (whose roots are in Marxism and Communism) it brings to mind this quote from Whittaker Chambers:

"It [Communism] is not new. It is, in fact, man's second oldest faith. Its promise was whispered in the first days of the Creation under the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil: "Ye shall be as gods." It is the great alternative faith of mankind. Like all great faiths, its force derives from a simple vision. Other ages have had great visions. They have always been different versions of the same vision: the vision of God and man's relationship to God.

The Communist vision is the vision of Man without God.

It is the vision of man's mind displacing God as the creative intelligence of the world. It is the vision of man's liberated mind, by the sole force of its rational intelligence, redirecting man's destiny and reorganizing man's life and the world. It is the vision of man, once more the central figure of the Creation, not because God made man in his image, but because man's mind makes him the most intelligent of the animals. Copernicus and his successors displaced man as the central fact of the universe by proving that the earth was not the central star of the universe. Communism restores man to his sovereignty by the simple method of denying God."

This is, I think, at the root of many of our problems. (This quote was written in 1952 when Whittaker Chambers' famous book Witness was published.)

I think we should be concerned, and deeply. I will use Google as a prime example. I used to think Google was great. You could find the answer to nearly anything.

I used to use Google all the time, and at some point, the results I began to get back were...well...not what I wanted. I found what I was looking for several pages back, and I believe it is standard behavior for a lot of people not to go that far. So they end up clicking on what Google provides to them.

I began paying attention, and realized that even though I KNEW that Google "shaped" its returns...I came to realize it wasn't doing it strictly from a commerce perspective which is what I expected...it was doing it from a political perspective, and an extreme Leftist anti-American perspective.

I had never paid much attention to the stupid "Google Doodles", almost as if I were blind to them. When I began paying attention to them at the same time I began viewing their political shaping of returns, it confirmed my conclusions.

What really shook me as it took several years for this to fully sink in, is that there are probably 4 billion computer users on Earth today who view Google as the font of information about...history, politics, science, you name it. And Google has decided it wants to manipulate the thoughts and conclusions of people using its product using the subtle forces of AI, to mold and shape "correct thought" in people.

Bill Whittle did a masterful video recently called:

The Stolen Election Part II: Stoners and Reptiles. (NOTE: I highly suggest the whole 22 minute video, but THIS LINK takes you directly to the part of the video relevant to this discussion.)

The whole video is worth watching, but his interpretation and presentation of the Big Tech interference in the election is critical. Near the end, if you go to the 14 minute mark of the video, he discusses a video, created for top level Google executives (and meant only for their eyes) that was leaked to the public called:

"The Selfish Ledger"

NOTE: Google is not "ashamed" of this. They are proud of it.

Bill Whittle calls it the most frightening thing he has yet seen from the Left, and I agree with him.

It describes how Google views our "ledger" to be compiled by the compilation of our online activities into a "fingerprint" of who and what we are, and likens it to our DNA that identifies us, and how they wish to alter that DNA-like "Ledger" to manipulate people to "think the right way".

Chilling. And all this is what they want to do, manipulate the way people think, and do it without the awareness of the people being manipulated. I know to some people, that sound like conspiracy theory material, but I believe they are dead serious, and...their justification is, they will do it for our own good.

I am ambivalent about TikTok. It’s just the latest fad. My grandson got bored with online porn, the same with video games. He liked virtual reality with that helmet, etc...and now watches and produces TikTok videos. He also starts hidden clubs with his friends that hate PC, hate trans, and hate “furries,” another legion of freaks.

He’s fifteen and getting ready to learn to drive. Once that happens he won’t give a crap about TikTok.

There's definitely a slant from Google and others. It used to be overt -- 20 years ago you'd google up Bush and the top 20 returns would be anti-Bush with a "center" Bush at maybe 21, then way down for a pro-Bush link.

But they've smarted up to make it more to one's likings with a slight bend to the left from where you currently are (at least as per the activity it sees you do online). Google and Faceplant customize your results/feed to seem to speak your language with things you like the most and even politics close to your liking, with a little nudge to the left of where you are, then a little more, then a little more. That way you're like the frog in the slow boiling pot of water.
