I think the Williams family has a big part in the apology. The guy he was playing came out and said through his son that they don’t condone violence
I have lost faith in all of your posts if you think it was fake. Why would Will Smith intentionally look like an entitled douche bag? He looks a 1000x worse than he did before.
A lot of people are defending him. Memories are short, it will all be forgotten in due course.
What pure unadulterated, staged, horseshit. Glad I stopped watching that crap years ago.
I most definitely do not think that was planned by Rock or the producers of the show.
I do think it is possible that Will decided he was going to cause chaos at the Oscars (he said so before hand)...and just seized on this opportunity.
His whole family is nutty.
Totally fake.
You do realize these people are Ack-tors?
“Slapped male reporter who tried to kiss him”
—
Wouldn’t you?
At the Oscars he overreacted to a stupid joke, having some guy come up and plant kisses all over ya is a different matter.
Will Smith is no Richard Williams and the entire world can see the difference for themselves.white or Black many Americans love the William’s sisters.
And he's crying all the way to the bank.
It gave Chris Rock a big boost already.

His attorneys wrote that cowardly apology. If it was heartfelt sincerity smith would have apologized in person and in public, as his offense was committed, or not at all.
Well the reporter went overboard. And I don’t much like reporters, but still that was in front of everyone at some Hollywood bash after he’d made a big movie.
Just push the guy away strongly. Don’t go slapping people.
With all dems it is always the same..They commit the crime ,party the night away and never care UNTIL someone mentions there may be consequences...THEN THEY APOLOGIZE........
Well then that’s where the rub is — did Rock know, was Smith right to assume Rock knew, etc.
But a little taste and restraint all around would have avoided turning the Oscars into a Maury Povich episode.
So you think this will end up being a good career move by Will, and he will make a ton of money off it?
“There is no such thing as bad publicity.” —Phineas T. Barnum
I wonder how long before Will is offered another film role. Hollywood could Colin Kapernick him.
No such thing as bad publicity? Tell that to O.J. or Harvey Weinstein, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Spacey etc..
Whatever.
It was a stunt.
It worked.
It got you all worked up.
When was the last time you even thought about Will Smith?
You are easily distracted and respond however the gaslight press instructs.
Surprised the audience didn’t break out in chants of “Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!...”
