It is the age old battle between infantry and cavalry writ large.

The horse empowered people, then the pike slowed down and mitigated the horse, armor helped make cavalry superior but gunpowder took it down. The tank rose up but the infantry carried AGM brings it down.

The next stage, if we survive, is force fields and BOLOs.

What is interesting to me is that sending in thousands of anti-tank missiles to assist Ukraine is no longer considered an act of war. I suppose Russia would rightly be hesitant to declare war on the US and NATO regardless of our materiel aid.

The Russians and the Chinese armed the N. Vietnamese and the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War.

Apparently it wasn't considered an act of war back then and thus the same now.

Be careful drawing conclusions from the Ukraine videos.

would be true if the only way you could kill a tank is byo short range equipment.
now there is a lot stand off equipment as well.

"Anyone concerned that all these anti armor and aircraft missiles will be making their way to the terrorists and here to the USA?"

Democrats, terrorists, and cartel members will guarantee it. They are all friends with a common purpose.

There is a lesson in this conflict for all nations and I hope our military is getting it.

And I would guess that if a drone can zap a tank, somewhere there is a military that is developing, or has, a drone that can sink a battleship, destroyer or carrier.

Landing craft would certainly be vulnerable.

Ukraine has demonstrated conclusively, whether they win oir lose, that wars will never be fought the same as before.

The military that does not get it is doomed.

Very well said. Most of the battle will be from the air initially.

Oh, and there is no substitute for millions of troops and/or their savage women coming in behind to kill the wounded and steal everything. That would make the best combination on the ground.

Robots are beginning to reach the point that they could be used for mop-up.

Combined arms deals with those things too - if you’re moving with air assets ( helicopters, attack aircraft ), as well as short and long(er) range indirect fire assets (mortars, artillery) and infantry that know their job...

We’re not seeing much of that with the Russians, so their vehicles burn as their crews scoot for the woods.

Will being concerned about it fix anything? So why bother. They will or they won’t. That’s been the story for a long time. The Jackal insisted he almost shot down a passenger plane at De Gaul airport back in the 70s. The French firmly deny it. But the tech has been out there for a long long time.
