But does he know that both of us will be destroyed in a nuclear exchange?
And does he truly believe our leadership would launch or would we back down?
Would our current command structure launch?
Or be given orders to?
MAD only works if both sides buy in to the concept.
Does that threat change, president to.president?

The Russians can deliver a small tactical weapon above a German or Polish NATO base and the US ain’t gonna do shit.

You are buying into the scare tactic, but, there isn't such a thing as a tactical small nuclear weapon. A nuclear weapon, no matter the size, is still a nuclear weapon, and Russia would pay very heavily for its use, and that would mean the end of Russia as the Russians have known it.

And why are we afraid now? Genuinely curious.

The threat or fear of nuclear war has always been there, ever since the number of countries with nuclear weapons got bigger than one. The fear is always there, and the fear is within all countries that have those weapons, including Russia. Use them first, and you won't ever be using them again.

Lets assume that it comes to an attack. What targets would you guess would get hit here in the USA?

I would forgo all the missile bases since the missiles would be gone by the time enemy missiles would get here.

I would target New Orleans. Niagara Falls area, Norfolk, NYC, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Long Beach, All the military bases on the coast such as those in FL. Houston and all the rest of the ports. And of course Washington DC. Colorado Springs Co. Sault Ste Marie. Detroit. Hawaii. Guam. And the military bases. One specifically at Panama.

Just those top 14 or so I named would be catastrophic by themselves.

And your right. Mac knew the Asian mindset. Patton knew the Russian mindset.
What people fail to understand is that the slavs are barbaric in nature. Ukrainians included. WW2 atrocities proved that.

There were lots of US servicemen who were interned in German POW camps, that the Russian captured. and took them to Siberia.
They are barbaric in nature. Learned from the Mongols? The Crimea and the eastern part of Ukraine that everyone is talking about were cossack in history. Ruled by the Khans for a very long time. Barbaric in nature.
Only since 1990 were they introduced to a more modern civilized nature.

Read what Putin said about a world without Russia.
That’ll give you a clue to his mental mindset.

Putin never signed the Budapest memorandum. It was his predecessor. I understand he’s supposed to honor it anyway. But then again Ukraine hasn’t honored the Minsk II Accord. So both sides are guilty of intransigence.

Putin never signed the Budapest memorandum. It was his predecessor.
***So... that means he is not the president of the Russian Federation? Or that he’ll be giving back the nukes? Or that nothing any Russian prez ever signs is ever valid because some other dude will replace him? This is horse shiite.

I understand he’s supposed to honor it anyway.
***Then what is the point?

But then again Ukraine hasn’t honored the Minsk II Accord.
***So... the Donbask region is no longer covered by the prior agreement?

This agreement consisted of a package of measures, including a ceasefire, withdrawal of heavy weapons from the front line, release of prisoners of war, constitutional reform in Ukraine granting self-government to certain areas of Donbas and restoring control of the state border to the Ukrainian government.

So both sides are guilty of intransigence.
***The Ukes HONORED the Budapest Agreement, giving up their nukes. The Rukes VIOLATED it. How can you draw some sort of bullshiite equivalence past those 2 salient points?

He has one option. Get rid of NATO in Ukraine and the slimy DC thugs running the country, you know, the goons of the slimy illegitimate thugs in the White House. He will disengage if Ukraine returns to non aligned status. If he fails, he will be ousted by an even stronger iron hand who will whore out Russia for Chinese weapons. Once Russia has doubled its conventional weapons, it will storm back into Ukraine and president Harris will have to blow up the world to stop him. Or make peace, stop the NATO crazy talk and chase the Obama/Soros scum back to DC for you and me.

***We have no evidence that he will hold to his word. In fact, we have evidence that he doesn’t hold to his word, so where do you get this assertion?

Well, your friends in DC will likely go your way and test his threat. At least you’ll know you were warned.

Why wouldn’t we believe Putin?

You're right about that, people should believe him. But, he may be diabolical, but, he's not suicidal and he's not going to take his country to the grave with him.

He’s a murderous bloodthirsty tyrant according to the Ukrainian supporters on here.

You're right again. You're two for two.

But, it's not just the Ukrainians; it's most of the world that feels that way about him, and even his 'friends' would not be able to trust him. And even within his country, there are millions that fear him and would not trust him on anything. Fear is a very nasty way of ruling and controlling and a way to make him unapproachable.

So, would you trust Putin? Maybe because he's not falling for all the 'woke' crap you find him likeable?

Never has DC spoken with a more unified voice, we want war with Putin!

Quit the hysteria. If this were actually true, there already would be US planes flying over the skies in Ukraine, and US Navy ships shooting it out in the Black Sea. Neither one of those things is happening.

OK, just who in DC isn’t saying we want US troops and or air assets in Ukraine, fighting Russians? I’ll be waiting on your answer. Every one of your neocon GOP heroes, your big guy, whose water you’re carrying and all of your media handlers, ALL are saying the same garbage you regurgitate. Kill the Russians. Don’t forget, the names. No names, then the next time you want to pipe in, no more DC stooging.

“Living in fear is no way to live.”

I’d say daring a country to launch nukes isn’t all that sane, at least in my book.

The most obvious answer to that is Biden, just for starters. He's the guy in charge (or maybe Jill is, though it doesn't matter for this point), and if he wanted troops there, he'd send them. So pretty clearly, he doesn't.

I'd like to hear your explanation of why U.S. troops aren't already fighting in Ukraine already if "everyone" in D.C. wants them there? What you said is inarguably false on that basis alone.

When has he not kept his word?

When he said he wouldn't invade, for starters. Or did you miss that?
