I could tell some of my fellow classmates were pretty upset
about the whole thing. I felt more like you seem to have.
I know some of the anti-nuke folks came from this set of
children who had grown up.
It’s always seemed to me some of those kids couldn’t handle
it too well.
Interesting, the effects. I was "anti-nuke" as a young adult for a bit--but not against the weapons, just the power plants. It would never have occurred to me to want America, my own people, not to be armed with the most lethal weapons.
I became a science writer. Civilian nuclear power stopped bothering me the more I studied statistics--the art of noting what actually occurs.
