Germany has invaded Russia twice right through Ukraine. Look at a map. Ukraine is a dagger to Russian’s midsection.

Yes it worryies them as much as it worries us to have a nuclear Cuba at our doorstep in the 60’s.

Didn’t the Ukraine region become occupied territory?

Didn’t they have cities destroyed? I mean, here we are
saying Moscow has a big fear, but it was never fully
conquered. And that’s a credit to them.

Still, the Ukraine has a right to ask for a neutral zone too.

The Ukraine didn’t attack Russia. Germany attacked Russia.

Now Russia is attacking part of it’s former self. And I
think part of the push-back Putin is getting, is that his
generals and troops don’t see the Ukraine as the enemy
he does.

The Ukraine in those days was Russian. There are Russians
who have a connection to the Ukraine.

Very true. He changes his reasoning for the attack every other day it seems. But I also read that Ukraine is corrupt. My worry at this point is nuclear. Just praying that nobody decides to push the “button “.

I appreciate your opening remarks, but I think the comments
about the Ukraine having corrupt leadership exists on very
thin ice.

Let’s see if you can identify this nation.

It held elections not that long ago. Citizens were able to
watch illegal activity in real time. Certain precincts locked
out election observers. Some nursing homes with patients that
didn’t even know their own name, or the names of the candidates
or which party they were from, or what policies they supported
none the less, voted by a margin of 100.0%.

When confronted with all this, the political party whose
candidate lost, refused to support looking into the election
at all, some even calling it the most secure election ever
held.

75 million voters were disenfranchised by their leaders.

The party that stole the election has done serious damage
to that nation, and yet none of our political leaders will
demand something be done.

The man who is now the nation’s leader, has lost his mind.
He’s unable to function in anything other than a severely
diminished capacity.

This nation’s top law enforcement agencies are now nothing
more than political operatives who take extreme action
against the people who love the nation the most. The same
people are the ones who remain the most loyal to the laws
of the land.

They run 5-6:00am raids with full swat teams with these
weapons aimed at adults, children, and any staff on site.

Tell me again how corrupt the Ukraine’s government is.

I think China sees this as the opportunity of a lifetime. Regardless of how this ends (assuming we survive it), Russia is going into an arms building frenzy. They will initially go on the cheap and follow Reagan’s lead from 1982 by deploying a whole new class of intermediate range nukes. NATO cities and installations will be in much greater jeopardy than they currently are. Where will the financing come from? China, of course. NATO is doing an incredible job of driving Russia into Xi’s servitude. All banking, financial, communication, trade, petro trade as of TODAY, goes through Beijing. At what price? Russia is now China’s proxy, tying up American military, economic and diplomatic assets and attention. Xi puts his money on Putin, Putin does the dirty work. At a similar point forty years Reagan spent the Warsaw Pact under the table. Are you and I ready to borrow Putin and Xi under the table. We are in a new generational arms race in Eastern Europe. You know how this turns out. My God, how many times have we seen this before?

Tell me your honest opinion of the Russian Army 50 years ago, 20 years ago, one month ago. Overnight, literally, they were paper bears. No one questioned how this happened. Overnight, it was Winston Zelenskyy, I shit you not. Overnight, the Ukrainian generals were all Pattons, every citizen Audie Murphy. I simply don’t believe it. If you use Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom as models, you’ll see the Russians have secured the labs and nuclear sites have taken out command and control and are waiting for Shock and Awe. I’d best quit or I’ll have you thinking I’m some Putin stooge. I could not agree with this analysis below more. Please read it and ask yourself BEFORE both sides disinfo kicked in, which version would have sounded more reasonable a month ago? Have good night.

Well, he’s welcome to that version if he likes.

At one point he prattles off about the evil Ukrainians having
the audacity to attack Russian troops on Ukrainian soil over
a period of time.

They carved out Ukrainian territory, and he now thinks it’s
evil or something for the Ukraine not accepting it.

Russia has taken control of all territory down by the
Black Sea, but it doesn’t occur to this guy at all, that
may have been Russia’s main goal.

He says they are not trying to take anymore territory down
there, but I happen to believe Russia wants all the land
over to Odessa also. They want that whole region.

Well, this will play out. We’ll see how much of this land
Russian has conquered is returned to the Ukraine after
hostilities are over. I doubt all of it will be returned.

Did they return Crimea? Did they return those carve out
places on Ukrainian soil?

I think Russia has taken the land it wants, and will keep
large chunks of it.

I think the Russians were fine when Ukraine was a free and independent state, 1991-2010 when ObamaSoros, Inc. showed up and began overthrowing governments and generally bringing the American NSC, State Dept., CIA into the governing circles of Ukraine. You saw it in all it’s disgusting, traitorous glory when the exact same people laid part of the groundwork that would end in the overthrow of the American Government with their impeachment coup attempt. The last thing Putin wants to do is to occupy Ukraine. If so, why didn’t he do before Obama’s crew took over? I’ve said NATO should have been disbanded when it’s entire reason for being was destroyed. I’m sure you have the same opinion of the original free loading fifteen, now 23 European states who also happen to hate us that Trump highlighted. As I’ve said for 30 years it has no reason for being and is now nothing but a potentially catastrophic destabilizing American money pit. Prophetic words. Putin will gladly leave if he maintains his last Cold War buffer and the lying, slimy, corrupt, treacherous American thugs leave as well. I wish we had an American who would stand up the same slimy thugs who are destroying our country from within and without.

Right now that guy Putin is helping Joe Biden give Iran the
nuclear bomb.

They already have missile that can nearly hit Europe. A
little tweaking, and they will.

Do you dislike the West to think that is a good idea?

As for NATO not being a good idea, it’s as good as the
leadership that runs it. I realize things look bleak
right now.

What if Putin decided to go into Poland? Would you want
to let him have that too? If you didn’t, wouldn’t it
be better to have a cohesive entity that could be called
upon quickly to react?

I don’t consider NATO to be perfect, but I do believe
it is better than nothing.

Look, all these comments are my own. I may be proven
wrong. Some will think I already have. Look, that’s
okay. I call them as I see ‘em, and if I’m wrong, I’m
wrong.

Thanks for you thoughts. We’ll see how it goes.

I missed what your opinion of the Russian Army was, say on February 1. What were you reading that led you to believe we had been lied to and the Russian Army was the paper bear that you now believe it is? I’m not trying to be snarky. I value your opinion and am curious of your perspective as it seems to be the opposite of mine.

I honestly thought Russia’s troops were fairly good. I hadn’t
read reports that they were having trouble pulling off
operations. I’m no expert on that, but I don’t believe they
have lived up to my expectations.

I didn’t retain the name of the guy in the video, but if his
assessment is spot on, then they may not be the problematic
troops it has appeared they might be to me.

His assessment was that Russia could do no wrong. Why they
didn’t mean to kill civilians, even though they did kill
civilians.

They didn’t want to kill Ukrainian soldiers, even though
they did kill Ukrainian troops.

They didn’t plan on taking any more territory in the
south. I’m asking myself where he gets his information?

How does he know what they want to do?

They don’t want to kill anymore people, but if those
people who are defending their nation don’t stop, they’ll
have to.

Nothing is assessed as Russia making some flawed decisions.

At some point I felt like I was watching a Putin spokesperson.

Seriously.

I’m now hawking myself as a military expert. I have not been
in the military. I try to read people, and the idea Putin
is a thoughtful invader, is lost on me.

Members of the Moscow press core have died. That guy in
Great Britain was poisoned. It has been my impression that
Putin ruled with an iron fist.

That kind of a guy doesn’t invade his neighbors saying, “Now
be nice to them. We don’t want to hurt anyone.”

That’s what this guy was saying. That’s the Putin he
sees.

As I said, I can be wrong. I’ve been wrong before. I don’t
see this as what a lot of others do.

At this point, we’ll have to wait and see. One side will
be right, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see the other
side come away with some decent observations and
predictions also.

Take care.

From the beginning it’s been “the ghost of Kiev” Putin was out fuel, no ammunition, no food, Russian tank columns decimated in Ukrainian turkey shoots, Putin blowing up nuclear reactors just down wind from the Russian border, Russian generals dying daily, untrained troops, Russians blowing up schools and maternity wards for sport, on and on.
The Ukrainian military have yet to make a mistake, their weapons and troops have been performed flawlessly. Honest to God, Zelenskyy is Winston Churchill! With each day the previous day’s disinfo is forgotten, replaced by today’s shovel full. The people trafficking in this disinfo are the same ones incapable of telling the truth. Yellow cake, global warming, Adolf Trump, flattening the curve, duly elected “president Biden”, BLM, Russia, Russia, Russia 1.0, every time they open their mouths! But the fantastic tales coming out of Ukraine are 100% accepted. Not me, not this time. I’ve got blood on my hands up to my shoulders from our brutal 20 years of terror in the Middle East. I know Putin has been portrayed by these people as the worst monster this world has seen since Adolf Trump, yes the same press, RINOs, American generals who peddled that BS are bastions of truth now. Only a Putin stooge would question anything our lying media handlers tell us. The Russians are not to be allowed to try to keep a last buffer between them and the virulently anti Russian NATO masses of armor at their border, 300 miles from Moscow. We are the heroes who utterly destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan for 20 years (6000 miles away), direct innocent Arab deaths over a million, perhaps a million more from loss of infrastructure, sectarian fighting, etc., 15,000 dead American boys. I bought and believed the yellow cake uranium lie, we all did. Other than the phantom yellow cake, why did we go on that murderous twenty year rampage? I never signed on for anything else. I’m tired of being lied to. It took me fifty years to realize what a stooge I’d been. Of course, our US guardians of universal truth will tell you I’m a Putin stooge now. You know what, as a Putin stooge, I’ll end up with less blood on my hands than back when I was a DC Deep State, military/industrial/DC Oligarchial stooge.
Pete Townsend said it best,

“and I’ll get on my knees and pray, we don’t get fooled again”

I used to wonder why Rubio got so much attention. I never take the time to write to TV stations, but the only time I did was to try to tell them
1) that Romney’s first name is not “frontRunner”
2) and to ask them why they were “all Rubio, all the time” when there were dozens of other races all over the country

Neither one got a response

It’s the MO for the Establishment Republicans aka the Bush Wing of the GOP.

Find a hispanic who is attractive and can speak well, get them elected if possible, then get them to propose Immigration Reform with assurances of massive border enforcement that will come later but Amnesty immediately.

It was the first thing Rubio did when he got to Washington, I remember him calling into Rush Limbaugh show trying to sell it and Rush being skeptical.

Now they are doing it again with Maria Salazar

I know some of the anti-nuke folks came from this set of children who had grown up.

Interesting, the effects. I was "anti-nuke" as a young adult for a bit--but not against the weapons, just the power plants. It would never have occurred to me to want America, my own people, not to be armed with the most lethal weapons.

I became a science writer. Civilian nuclear power stopped bothering me the more I studied statistics--the art of noting what actually occurs.
