OFFS! Apparently 77% in one poll are "WE LOVE EXPENSIVE GAS" liars and 70% of those in another poll are wrong thinking pootski supporters? Any way, once upon a time I got to used to 35 cents/gal gas. And, "MOSTLY LIBERAL" powerhouse roundtable ? Really? Bridge for sale! Hey jon, the disapproval is probably from the lies peppermint patty spews daily along with the CONgress critters. The XL pipeline wouldn't have helped and wouldn't have been completed yet anyway, 9,000 leases held by big oil but not being used, blah, blah, blah..... No mention of warren buffett and choo choos moving oil daily. Grrrrrrr!

A new pickup cost $2000 when I was kid. Now they are $40k

A gallon of gas was 25 cents when I was a kid, now it’s $5.

Exactly the same amount of increase in both.

That talent less multi-millionaire punk...Colbert...recently said something like "$4 a gallon gas is worth the price of a clear conscience".

As if he *has* a conscience!! I do have a conscience and it's as clear as can be at $1.85 a gallon.

gee geniuses....did it ever occur to you that the massive inflation in gas prices is NOT due to the ban on Russian imports? Its been going on for a long time - since long before the recent ban on Russian gas.

Say...why do we need Russian gas? We didn’t need to import gas aside from Canada and Mexico a year ago. What’s changed?

'We Got Used to $2 Gas'

Rightfully so.

If the prog handlers of the Brandon "administration" would have kept their nasty claws off of the petroleum industry, gas would have gone from two bucks to two fifty.

So progs, where did the OTHER two bucks come from in the $4.50 gas?

.

“But take a look at this other question we asked, which is, Biden's handling of gas prices, do you approve? 70 percent disapprove, so, in other words, ban Russian oil even if it means higher gas prices, but we're going to blame Biden.” Karl couldn’t understand how the public could simultaneously support banning Russian oil knowing it will lead to higher prices at the pump, while also disapproving of Biden’s failure to take any measures to lower prices.

Understanding reality has always been an issue for Karl. He said Trump called Covid the "KungFlu" even though Trump never said such a thing.

Well, we should be.

There’s no excuse for not having $2 a gallon gas.

First....lets see how Karl gets to and from work every day.

Second....as with all wealthy liberals, if price increases don’t effect their bottom lines, they do not care. It’s like the rich in places like California, Seattle, NYC, etc. Their wealth insulates them from all the negative consequences of the liberal policies they support but pat themselves on the back for supporting.

Third...ask Karl and the liberal roundtable how increases in gas prices effect everything else. I would love to hear their answers, as it is pretty apparent that they have no understanding of the ripple effect that occurs when an increase in the price of anything, results in the end user paying more. But, if you have money and the costs don’t affect your bank account all that much, if you don’t have to choose between paying your rent-buying food for your family-putting gas in your car to get to work, then you have no worries.

The price of gas had almost doubled BEFORE the invasion, which is %100 and up $.80, or about 22% due to Russia.

So, yeah, Brandon, it IS your fault.

Let them eat cake.

Interesting history here.

But buy more stickers.

I am against vandalism, but they appear to be easily removed or just removed a part of the backing so they can be reused.

“I did that” is the equiv of “let them eat cake”. We will write Bidens history. Do this one small act of rebellion.

Now, having said that, we do not want a french revolution against something and leading to more revolutions.

Our Founding Fathers had a very clear idea of what they were fighting for.

Imagine what they would be saying if gas prices had risen by just a small amount under Trump. They would have savaged him.

Everyone needs to learn the term Cantillon Effect

This is how we “get used to” higher gasoline prices.

Yeah, we got used to stability, low to modest inflation, good stock market returns, decent wages, plentiful food, plentiful fuel, a [somewhat] competent government run by adults, a Chief Executive (i.e., President) who was successfully rolling back tens of thousands of pages of intrusive regulation, a government that wasn’t trying to dictate how we live the minutiae of our lives.

We got used to freedom and happiness.

We should all be ashamed for getting used to that horrible mess.
