“70 percent disapprove, so, in other words, ban Russian oil even if it means higher gas prices, but we’re going to blame Biden.” Karl couldn’t understand how the public could simultaneously support banning Russian oil knowing it will lead to higher prices at the pump, while also disapproving of Biden’s failure to take any measures to lower prices.”

Simple. Under Trump and before Biden we were exporting energy. So I could see an argument made for banning the use of Russian oil and using our own. Or one could be against banning the use of Russian oil. No matter. Either way the issue is energy independence. Biden screwed that up.

“Our new poll, interesting numbers. First of all, it showed overwhelming support for the ban on Russian oil, 77 percent support it, even if it means the poll question even if it means higher gas prices here at home,”

This is because they are polling idiots who don't (can't?) think of the consequences of their actions. Their "opinions" will change when it dawns on them how much their "virtue" is costing them.

It is if you are a woke environmentalist who wants to force you to drive an electric car and live near large cities and rarely travel anywhere.

And it would not fall apart after ten years of use, or like those 1974 Chevys, that on a cold clear quiet night you could hear the Chevy RUST!

**Supply and Demand,***
Typical Democrats.

Biden killed off the oil and gas industry to get the price of fue UP!

Just like FDR slaughtered and buried tens of thousands of cattle to get the price of meat UP! And that was when people were starving in the Depression. The meat was buried and not given to the poor.

Heidi Heitkamp is a member of the 1% who doesn’t care if gas goes to $10 a gallon.

Her net worth was north of $4M in 2015...in seven years I am certain she has grifted more.

All part of the NWO plan.

Keep us immobile.

I would love to do that as well, but……

I lived through it once and it was horrific. I can’t believe it’s happening again.

Always because GOVERNMENT is the most awful, pernicious, self-serving, corrupt and incompetent organization on the face of the earth. Can you believe those bastards just voted themselves a PAY RAISE?

I do remember how people really bitched when gas hit 1.00 dollar for the first time in back 80 or 81. Checking the inflation calculator, $1.30 in 1980 is worth $4.74 in today. If 4.74 gas is baseline, that would mean we are paying around $1.09 too much now based on 1981 prices.

So, the good old 50 cent gas before the 80's would be the equivalent to 1.82 today. That's just about where Trump had us, I believe.

Just for fun, a pre-1965 50 cent piece is worth $9.67 today! So gas is WAY too cheap today if based on commodity vs commodity. In 1964 gas was 30 cents a gallon.

Saw an article about a guy in California who bought a Tesla, $950 a month payment and yet his electricity bill went to 0ver $450 a month. So when you have everyone switch over to EV’s how will they pay their bill and where will all the extra juice come from to charge up?

I believe it takes the same amount energy to move one pound one foot at sea level, regardless of the source.

I think people forget that.

A gallon of gas was 25 cents when I was a kid, now it’s $5.

Interestingly enough - in 1964 (last year for 90% silver quarters) a quarter (that 25 cents you mentioned for a gallon of gas) had .18084 oz of silver content......at today's spot price - the melt weight of that quarter ~$5.

Thing is the new pickups have all sorts of techno wiz bangs and gee haws while the gasoline, minus the lead,is pretty much the same as gas from years ago.🤔

With no AC, disc rakes, power steering or brakes. Maybe not even an AM radio, But with a 3-speed manual transmission and a vinyl seat!

Who could refuse a bargain like that?
