A real tragedy. The Democrats have destroyed what was once a gem of a city.
Thanks Democrats. You guys and your policies are doing an awesome job. Hey America this could be your town too if you keep voting Democrat. https://t.co/txaMeHyRXh

Downtown Seattle business continues remote work because of crime, not COVID
By K5, March 2nd, 2022
SEATTLE — A downtown Seattle tech company won’t bring workers back to the office until they feel it’s safe, not because of COVID-19, but crime.
Businesses continue to speak out about the ongoing violence in the downtown core, specifically in the area of Third Avenue and Pike Street.
Martin Fagan with Qumulo is a former police officer, now a facilities director for the cloud computing company based at Fourth Avenue and Pike Street. He told his employees they don’t have to return to the office until the situation downtown “stabilizes.”
“When I’m uncomfortable walking out into the street, I can’t imagine what our employees feel like having to go in and out of the building,” said Fagan.
Fagan said they’re at a “breaking point,” where things either need to change, or “we’re going to feel like we have to depart the area, and we don’t want to have to do that.”
He and the employees at Qumulo aren’t the only ones.
Over the weekend, Piroshky Piroshky’s owner Olga Sagan announced they would close the bakery’s Third Avenue location “until further notice” due to the crime in the area. The announcement followed a fatal shooting on Sunday afternoon.
The McDonald’s closed as well, unable to “guarantee the safety of their employees.”
Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell hasn’t been silent on the issue. He said it’s “unsafe.” The first thing the city has to do, he said, is be “open and honest and transparent about the conditions down there. They are unsafe to walk, to shop, and so we have a plan and the plan will be implemented.”
It’s a plan Harrell said will be unveiled in the coming days.
Meanwhile, however, crime continues.
On Tuesday, police intercepted a carjacking while they responded to a stabbing.
On Wednesday night, police were back on Third Avenue responding to a shooting. A young man later died from gunshot wounds while being treated in the hospital.
The wife and I were looking for a week away, and would have loved to do Seattle, but after what’s been going on up there, NO WAY!!!
Businesses have to be losing tourist dollars like mad!!!

Don’t be so optimistic. Imagine what would happen to Florida If liberals in WA state decide to flood the state....
They would turn Florida into Washington State soon.
But what if COVID was a crime?
Park some barges, old ferries or decommissioned ships on the waterfront. Roll in the National Guard, march them all towards the water.
Here’s a plan for you: Send the cops in, let them do their job, and scoop every one of these drug-addled derelicts off the street and throw them in jail. When they get out, aggressively enforce vagrancy laws (presuming leftist Seattle still has them) and do everything humanly possible to make it excruciatingly uncomfortable to try to live on the streets. Then aggressively enforce every other law - against graffiti, vandalism, public urination, panhandling, etc. and keep going until you no longer see so much as a single vagrant passed out on the sidewalk. Once all of that is achieved, launch an effort to keep every building, storefront, sidewalk, and bench spotlessly clean.
Do all of that, Seattle, and you’ve got a chance. Ignore it in the continued pursuit of “wokeism” and you’re doomed. Oh yeah, and STOP VOTING FOR MARXISTS!
In other news, society has eliminated the need for asylums, emptying them, and tearing them down!
I love a good chowder....
I was told by a guy while we were in Las Vegas that St. George's has no beggers.....he insinuated that they aren't allowed to just lay around 24/7 and must work at something....
they’ll destroy Idaho first. Like Locust, it’s a closer target.
So, is this too part of the Summer of Love?
It certainly is, as long as the refugees decide not to vote bleu. One thing I made sure of when I moved to Florida was not to bring Maryland with me, politically speaking.
Parasites vote Dem...not taxpayers.
Reopen mental institutions and get the mentally ill off the street.
Lock up criminals.
Since the left has no compunction about locking up what it considers political prisoners and treating them inhumanely, their arguments against those who actually pose a threat to society fall flat.
Leftist policies gave us this situation and leftist policies are not going to fix it.
Keep voting D on the ballot. That will start the correction process.
Seattle used to have a thriving tourist industry, but no more. Word has gotten out and Seattle is being avoided. And, who can blame them. My hubby has been working from home for quite a while, ever since everything was shut down. Now, he is still at home working because his company had been hacked two weeks ago. When the local ABC affiliate station showed their documentary titled "Seattle is Dying", I watched it. I was disturbed by what I was seeing and told my hubby. His response, I see this stuff every day when I go to work. I'm always stepping over people.
It is a tragedy, really. A beautiful city, with wonderful views, has destroyed itself with wokeness about "homelessness".
The Democrats have destroyed what was once a gem of a city.
SEATTLE isn’t the only one they have a very long list of hell holes they created and proud of it.
Sometimes communism doesn’t have to do a thing but just set back and enjoy.
“Seattle is Dying” was definitely worth watching; a lot of truth there, concealed from us little people by our newsliars.
NYC has the same problems, including getting workers back in.
