agree @ post 38

Bruce is right above and these programs were very legitimate after the Cold War ended but who in their right mind would trust Fauci and our NIH or frankly any government bureaucrat in Ukraine.

We have practiced a very corrupt policy in the Ukraine not designed to make life better for Ukraine and make us safer with Russia. It looks like some kind of massive money laundering scheme and a play-ground for Soros with state/intel support.

Just my .02

“I don’t think DOD funded Fauci”

These are two separate piles of money (our money)

Fauci at NIAID sits on a huge pile of money for scientific research of infectious disease, the biggest such pile of money in the world. He is the most powerful individual in science, and decides who can get money for their research projects and have a successful career in science and who doesn’t. If you are on his sh!t list your career will take a dead-end.

The DOD also has a big pile of money for scientific research. Project Veritas exposed the proposal to DOD to do the work that Fauci ended up funding at Wuhan. DOD turned them down, so then they sought money from Fauci.

https://wfxl.com/news/coronavirus/dod-rejects-ecohealth-bid-due-to-concerns-over-gain-of-function-research-report-says

The pitch to DOD is that soldiers are human beings; like other human beings, they can get sick from infectious diseases; you don’t want soldiers getting sick while fighting a war; therefore please fund our basic scientific research into such-and-such infectious disease.

More likely as authentic as those Dominion servers in Germany.

RE: and it’s easy to pivot from antidotes etc to weaponized

In that case, it will be difficult to prove sinister motivations.

We’ve entered cuckoo for cocoa puffs territory with these biolab fantasies. Proceed accordingly.

Why are those current Russian biolabs located?

I'd object biolabs with dangerous pathogens anywhere in the US except in the dessert in Nevada.

Given what happened in Wuhan with Covid, it is irresponsible, at best, to conduct such research near large population centers.

And, that is best case scenario. Who says our Deep State isn't capable of producing biological weapons? Nothing would surprise me after it manufactured phony scandals to try to drive Trump out of office and after the rigged election.

You have a lot more confidence in Deep State than I do.

RE: Try that logic if you ever get caught robbing a bank: Officer, I was just testing theft-prevention techniques so I needed a recently robbed bank...

Somehow, I think there is a flaw in that analogy.

You can test theft-prevention technology WITHOUT having to rob a bank.

So, you're okay with experimentation on dangerous pathogens in near major population centers?

You'd want one of these labs in your city?

To write this off as no big deal is lunacy.

RE: It’s basically the same work.

OK, how does one research antidotes then?

Antidotes are for poison. That’s biochemistry.

This stuff is different.

Yes you could but the analogy stands. Vault integrity tests do need a vault to test.

RE: Vault integrity tests do need a vault to test.

Then use a bank vault with the bank’s permission, not rob it.

Sometimes it works...depends ON ‘who’ you are.

There was a guy that got caught with child porn (cp) on his computer. Blamed it on hackers. I believe they never went after him. And I think there was another that excused cp off on investigative research. And to top it off!...Hunter Biden.

Unless allowing those sorts of tests were already declared illegal.

Yes, they can. But is it the truth? That’s what really matters.
