I just took that to mean that both Putin and Trump are nationalists with anti-globalist viewpoints... so in that sense having similar goals.

I think most folks here are going to read the first paragraph and ‘unsee’ the second one.

this is an issue that seems well on the way to becoming ww3 and folks cannot get past the first paragraph.

For my part, I think the situation was created intentionally and pushed progressively to force his hand to act now or risk having a much worse situation later (ukraine possibly in nato later, airpower/defenses in ukraine).

I don’t think the actors pushing US policy give a damn about the US either.

You are ready to fight to the last American for Ukraine

Where did I ever say that ? Lindsey wished for Putin's assassination at the hands of a fellow countryman (Russian). And I said I agreed with him.Where did I say anything about Americans getting involved? Did you even watch the clip ?

These people can’t wait for nuclear war.

But don’t worry. They will be in their nuke-safe bunkers while we sacrifice our lives for their delusions.

When we had he missile crisis in Cuba in 1962, at that time Kennedy told Russia better get out in order to avoid an all out war. The Russian believed he was serious and took his advise, packed up their stuff and went home. About sixty years later we have a similar situation, except in reverse as the US wants to do establish a foothold under the guise of NATO close to the Russian border. Regardless what anyone may think about Putin, he is neither ignorant or stupid and in so many words told the US no deal.

All he requested, at least what was understood is; that the Ukraine remain neutral and will not become associated with NATO. He stated this many times over, along with the promise that there would be fallout if these conditions would not be met.

But of course some of these warmongering idiots within the US as well as NATO just kept pushing and pushing, amongst them most likely some of the ‘One World Order’ crowd and eventually Putin lost his patience and figured if the West does not want to understand what is good for the goose is good for he gander, he made good on his promise and in turn, as usual many innocent people have to suffer.

Within he scheme of things it doesn’t really matter what I think or believe but I feel some better diplomacy as well as some advice to NATO to give it a rest would have gone a long way to prevent unnecessary bloodshed and destruction.

Let's flip that around. What would America do if Russia assassinated Biden? You can do more with your head than just stare at the inside of your colon.

I hope the people that love you keep you away from the knife drawer in the kitchen.

Could you kill a man, Lindsey?

“Oh, yes, but it would take weeks and weeks and weeks!”

i think the us/nato/whoever intentionally boxed him into a situation where he felt he had to take ukraine vs. the risk they join nato. some reports say the US told china they were going to admit ukraine (and china would have told russia), almost certainly to force putin’s hand.

the goal here, under this set of premises, was always to start a war. crash world economy, maybe even solve those pesky elections in november if it gets bad enough.

We’re at DEFCON 2(EU) and 3(USA) with them. This idiot should be arrested.

Why do our present day politicians think that Dr Strangelove was an instruction movie?

Putin knows NATO poses zero threat to Russia. He knows how little offensive firepower NATO can project in Eastern Europe. But Putin is all about power. That is why he clings to power and deep-sixed important provisions of the Russian constitution so he could maintain power personally. He enjoys taking a bite out of the Republic of Georgia. He orchestrated a strong arm grab of the Crimea. He subverted the Eastern Ukraine and created a separatist movement supported by Russia. Putin fears NATO may eventually resist his future moves against Moldovia, Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania. And if you think Crimea wanted to be part of Russia and the polls were legit, a real poll would show that Kaliningrad would like to leave Russia and be Konigsberg again. The Crimean business was well-financed guerrilla theatre.

It’s not a movie I want to part of. When we’re at DEFCON 2(EU) and 3(USA) my first instincts is to do what we can for peace. This guy is a national security risk.

You didn't read what I said. This isn't about one nation assassinating the leader of another nation or calling for a citizen of one nation to assassinate of the leader of another nation. It's calling for a Russian to take out their own leader.

Secondly, Putin is the head of the armed forces of an at-war AGGRESSOR nation. That makes him a legitimate target for killing- not by the United States but by his opponents or those aligned with him.

Also, do you understand that he invaded a non threatening country and started leveling its cities, in which respect he is no different than Adolf Hitler after Hitler invaded Poland in 1939 (beginning of WW II) ? Would you have said how dare a Pole call for Hitler's assassination at the hands of a fellow German ?
