The world stands back in confusion at Putin’s invasion.

Putin is not confused as to his reasons. Half of stopping this incursion is understanding the perspective from the other side.

Putin invaded Ukraine because he did NOT fear NATO.

Staring into my crystal ball, I foresee the end result of this is the rise of Erdogan and Turkey, and the beginning of Turkey’s move to rebuild the Ottoman Empire.

Putin has been the one blocking Erdogan’s ambitions, a weakened Russia will allow Turkey to unite with Iran, Pakistan and most likely, ally with China.

I hold no illusions that getting rid of Putin, as necessary as it may be, will make the world much better.
