A Michigan TikTok star wanted for armed robbery has been arrested after the FBI identified his sneakers in TikTok videos.
In his videos, 22-year-old Chozen Terrell-Hannah, an aspiring social media influencer, could be seen wearing Nike sneakers with red spots on them while dancing. The shoes matched the ones worn by a thief who had robbed four shops from December to February, according to Fox 2 Detroit.
Why is the FBI investigating a local robbery?
WTF is a “Tik tok star”? I know. Somebody who doesn’t want to work.
They need a cover story for their oppression.
His dancing technique was a federal crime.
“Why is the FBI investigating a local robbery?”
Robber was wearing blackface & they thought they were looking for a white supremacist?
FBI should be disbanded. Corrupt fumbling thugs.
I though 'aspiring rapper' was low...
🤣😄😆😜
Influencer of dumb criminals.
Yes
And I just looked at some still images
That dancing does look like a crime
Appears he is using the same dance moves that Forest Gump taught Elvis.
Now he can try to be a cell block influencer.
“Chozen Terrell-Hannah, an aspiring social media influencer”
The truth is stranger than fiction these days.
I’m thinking that video tells you all you need to know about Rikki Tikki Tik Tok. How is it possible that entire bunches of people follow that?
Even the Beatles weren’t that a bad, back in the day.
Since you can’t mention and physical characteristic of a “wanted” person anymore (well, not -quite- true, sex is hanging on by a thread), I wonder if sneaker brand can be mentioned.
“He is to appear in federal court in Detroit for a hearing as he faces charges of affecting interstate commerce and possessing a firearm during a violent crime, the Detriot News said.”
Several things to comment on here. The interstate commerce clause has been abused by the feds to get into anything they want to get into. The reason they targeted this guy in particular, which was mentioned in the article, is that a tipster found the connection and the case literally landed in the FBI’s “done” hopper with no work on their part. It was a resume stuffer for some fed with no work on his part. The phone data, mentioned in the article, should be a warning to anyone committing a crime to TURN OFF THEIR PHONE. But, no, they’re stupid. Your phone tracks everywhere you’ve been and that record is permanent. If the tip had come a year or two from now they’d still be able to nail him. And, that data places you to within five feet of wherever the crime took place. So, again, the case was a free slam dunk. Too good to pass up even if the robber was black and the last thing the FBI wanted to do was be seen arresting a black man.
Its like they identify criminals by their camo pants. Every pair is unique.
I’m as law abiding as they come, but even I have a Faraday pouch in my truck to put my wallet, Key-Bobs, and phone in now when I want some privacy. Mostly from Google and other metacollectors of my travel information, but even stores want to try to pick up any RFID you might have on you for tracking spending habits.
Have you noticed that almost ALL smart phones stopped making it optional to remove the battery? Just because you turn it off does not mean its off now. It was law enforcement that pressured the manufacturers into doing that, it made their job so much easier that they demanded that the public can’t take the fast and easy way out of location tracking by popping the back open and removing it, stripping them of their easiest method of tracking their subjects.
