I don't recall saying Russia was America's friend. I said ally of convenience. And we must stop thinking of America in the traditional sense, that's a mistake. There are now two America's. The America that you and I are part of and that Donald Trump represents, and the America that is taken and controlled and struggled over that Joe Biden and the rest of the derps represent.

Putin is an ally of our and Trump's America, and the enemy of the derp state and their China ally (and the Ukraine puppet state), represented by Biden.

That is the way the world works.

Probably a great many more do now. They don't seem to be having a 'rally around the flag' moment, and the bodies will start arriving home shortly.
I was never a big fan of Putin, though I did vaguely understand that he and MAGA shared some principles, mostly of the anti-globalist variety. I didn't at all believe he would launch a general invasion of Ukraine, I thought he was out to carve out and protect a Russian enclave in the East. This seems out of character for him, usually he is more dispassionate and calculating... this can slide South for him and Russia in so many ways...
