Well it should be obvious to anyone with half a brain that the US intentionally goaded Russia into invading so that sanctions could be enacted, Nordstream2 put on indefinite hold, and to further impede any further European/Asian economic integration which the US sees as a major threat to it’s own interests. I can’t believe how clueless some people are ignoring the obvious here.

The sanctions were already in place ...Trump put them there. Biden lifted sanctions and encouraged the go-ahead for Nordstream, so you are not being logical. Besides, Putin already expressed his intentions when he invaded Ukraine’s Crimea in 2014.
